I know Jesus is with me always, because of the life He has taught me to live. Even Jesus condemned idol worshipers when He preached His ministry. He didn't say, "WEAR MY CROSS AROUND YOUR NECK, TO REMEMBER ME"! HE SAID, "And whosoever doth not bear His cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple." Do not change 'bear' to 'wear'!

Irwin Tilley and Sandie Frankenstein - There have been many documentaries over the years, speaking to the heinous Roman crucifixion. As Brandon explained, a true crucifixion was intended to be humiliating, as painful as it could be and long-suffering. Remember, Jesus was the Son of Man, but God in his own right. The Thursday before the crucifixion, after the Last Supper, Jesus took the disciples, Peter, John and James, to the Garden of Gethsemane, as he wanted to pray. He asked them to stay back and pray and went forward. As he was praying, as God, he was able to see and feel what was ahead - the scouraging, the carrying of the cross and the actual crucifixion. He was perspiring and the tears he shed were mixed with blood. He asked His Father if it was possible for " this cup to pass me by. Not as I will but as yours". Three times he prayed this request, returning to his sleeping disciples in between. And, each time, his Father didn't answer him. So, not only did he experience agony in the Garden of Gethsemane, he realized God was not going to intervene. Long story (a major flaw). I have worn a cross as an infant. When I started school, we all wore crosses. But, as an adult, I wear a crucifix (Jesus on the cross) 24/7 as a reminder that Christ endured what he did because of my sins; everybody's sins. He did this so that I would be spared hell and would be with him eternally in Heaven. I never want to forget how much I am loved, even though I still have "debts" because of sin. There has never been a time when anyone said anything negative to me about my crucifix. And, only before I am cremated may it be removed. My God bless you and your family always.

I went out and bought a cross to wear after hearing this message. I am not ashamed of what it stands for and I’m wearing it proudly for my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. 🙌🏻🙌🏻

Amen. I wear a cross made of clear quartz crystal with a paracord chain/rope. I have it just long enough to hide and not everyone sees it because I wear baggy clothes most of the time. Sometimes it flies out but it never really bothered anyone.

It seems people have long forgotten what the cross actually means. If you really look at the text, and the origins of the cross, you'll see that Jesus didn't actually die on a cross, but a simple stake. Also the image of the cross is actually rooted in pagan Babylonian origins. The cross existed long before Jesus even came to earth. Moreover, the Bible strongly warns Christians to “flee from idolatry,” which would mean not using the cross in worship.​-1 Corinthians 10:14; 1 John 5:​21. Significantly, Jesus said: “By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love among yourselves.” (John 13:34, 35) Jesus thereby indicated that self-sacrificing love​-not the cross or any other image-would identify his true followers.

I needed this video today. Wearing a cross for me is about a covenant with God. It's a reminder of what Jesus did for me. Its a reminder that I don't need to walk through life alone, Jesus walked and walks with me, I just have to trust Him and remember that His love for me was so deep that He chose to be humiliated for me. He chose a public display to show His love for me, I choose a public display to show that I am His.

I wouldn't wear it personally. I want people to know Him by my fruits.

Amen, I truly felt your passion. I use to wear a cross necklace. But, my chain bit was cheap and left marks on my neck. Plus I hate wearing jewellery anyway. I love to put Scripture on my dresses instead! Most importantly though; we must remember not to rely just on the cross around our neck, or... We are His vessels and He can use us to reach the lost. Our character and our fruitfulness should be evident. Christ should shine through us in our daily life, to those all around us. Whether thats through: speaking, actions, etc...

@@RowanWarren78 Yeah dunno ay 🤷🏼‍♀️. I use to wear jewellery all the time. And all of a sudden as I got a bit older I just hated the feeling of it. Possibly the fact that I put on some weight may have something to do with it. But, I can't stand makeup either. My second cousin removed, is the same way; she's never been one to wear jewellery or makeup!

Thank you for sending this message because I have been searching for the past week for an answer to a decision I had to make regarding a Muslim friend who asked me to hide my crucifix I am wearing around my neck because her old mother was staring at it. I looked over at her mother and saw that her mom was speaking to someone else and was not even looking at me. Her mother is aware of the fact that I am a Christian and saw it around my neck before. When she said that to me, it felt someone had punched me in the stomach or slapped me in my face. I was deeply shocked and it must have showed on my face. I didn't say anything at that time and just put it out of sight. I just wanted to leave and go home. She tried to apologize for her mom's behaviour but it felt very halfhearted. I got home and cried so much. I thought her to be a good friend of mine. I spoke with a close friend and a sister of mine, both sisters in Christ. Both told me not to break my friendship with the Muslim friend. Both told me to forgive her. I cannot because she made me feel that I did not stand up for Jesus Christ or defend Him, like Peter, who denied Christ when he was told he was one of Jesus' followers, when Jesus was arrested. She's been texting me and calling me and I don't know what to say to her. I've been avoiding her the past week. She took me as her confidante and we grew very close. I thought she understood me that I am a true Christian. But little things, like when I speak openly about my faith or say things like 'Lord have mercy', start to make sense. She would immediately bring her Allah and Muhammed this quote and that quote into the conversation, like interrupting me, like she didn't want to hear what I wanted to say. I wasn't going to convert her to Christianity or anything like that. Not directly but to find in me a true friend and seeing that I don't make demands on her, that I'm always there for her when she needed a friend. Maybe i am making too much of it. But it is very important to me, that she knows that I am first and foremost a true Christian and to respect that, as I have respect for her in her faith. That I love Jesus Christ with my whole life, my whole heart and soul. Writing this down, is exactly what I am going to tell her. I don't know if I would still be friends with her. This has just opened my eyes that she doesn't believe that Jesus Christ has died for me. Muslims do not believe in the crucifixion.

This is what we ALL need to hear. Keep it going, brother.

I regularly wear a cross on my jacket lapel and it has inspired quite a few conversations. It also reminds me as to how I should behave, when I sometimes feel tempted to do or say something which perhaps is not the best thing to do.

TBH I used to wear a cross but then realized that I was just wearing a torture symbol because I didn't truly understand what it meant but also it scared me by the idea of it being a form of idolatry ...I am a deep thinker and I am always searching for truth. I've been praying for the wisdom to discern the truth... As always thank you for another teaching through video. There is a verse in scripture in which Jesus Christ says ... whoever confesses me before the world ..I will confess him before the Lord .. I don't know the exact quote ... but I remembered her ... Crosses, kufi's, beads and star of David is tools of division. They are not necessary in the big scheme of righteous living. Really just all for show 🤷🏾‍♂️

Matthew 27:32 And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross Mark 15:21And they compel one Simon a Cyrenian, who passed by, coming out of the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to bear his cross. I’ve worn one most of my life. I hold it when I feel pressured, or stressed and it reminds me that I am NOT alone. It reminds me that He was there for me then, and He is there for me now.

Whenever I wear my cross around my Jehovah’s Witness friend she always comments about it but I wear it anyway because I really believe in the cross it reminds me about Jesus and how he suffered! I've been getting closer to God recently and I felt strongly like I wanted to have a symbol of my faith and as a reminder of the love God showed for us and Christ who died for us. Ironically I grew up as one of Jehovah's witnesses and was always taught wearing cross or having a fish on your car or door is wrong and idolatry but we aren't worshiping the cross or anything it's simply a reminder and expression of faith. God knows what's in our hearts.

@@jeice452 I was also raised as a Jehovah Witness and I might say for SOME people, It CAN be an Idol. I believe it's a very personal decision to wear a cross, led by The Holy Spirit. I 100% agree with the gentleman in the video though - only wear it if you mean it!!

It's one thing to die a quick and painless death for someone you love, but what Jesus VOLUNTARILY chose to endure for sinners such as us is absolutely breathtaking in both the most horrifying and most beautiful ways possible. No one else has ever or will ever love me like He does, and my plain, wooden cross necklace is a daily reminder of that love. ❤️✝️

THE WORD OF THE CROSS, not image. = Jesus died for our sins and whosoever... Take up cross = ignore your own desires for Christ's desire. We know its not referring to a physical cross because 1. Jesus was alive when he spoke it 2. His disciples were ALREADY following him when he said it. Dear friend, the holy spirit shall bring all things to your remembrance, not a necklace. John 14:26 Your reasons for wearing a cross are your reasons alone and I wont fault you for it but I will make you aware of Gods word says about the things you wrote.

I was so lost as a teenager, ran away from home. One evening a man was wearing a cross that caught my eye, in a large crowd of people. The next morning I felt the Lord guiding me back home. Started reading my Bible, joined a group where I studied the Word & learned how to pray. My friends who walked in faith & lifted me up in prayer. That dear man who wore that cross, changed something within me that night. I will always remember & be thankful how Jesus turned my life from being lost into a meaningful life.

This puts more meaning to why I wear my cross!! Thank you!!

Thanks Brandon. I bought this cross before I was born again. I recognized that Jesus suffered for me and one day not that long ago I repented of my sins and was baptized and gave my life to Jesus! I’m so encouraged by the young people I am around who wear crosses and know why they are wearing them! God bless you for all you do!

The Word of God says that God is awesome; so years ago, someone taught me to not throw that word around nor apply it to people or things. Please consider saving the word for the most high LORD GOD ALMIGHTY.

@@ItzSamyy because of His sacerfice, He took our sins with Him. That is a special moment and reminds us that He defeated death and that is very important as well. Like Jesus said Himself, it had to happen and by all means it wasn't easy on Him or the disciples. We wouldn't have our new covenant if it weren't for Him. He freed us.

Well done 👏, I am going to get a cross soon

I just started wearing one as I used to feel very unprotected and just like evil would always come near me. But not that I am wearing one it has always kept me protected I never take it off I sleep and shower with it on lol I truley feel God more than Ever now and I feel like his child . Some of these comments though from people questioning why wear it, is kinda irritating to see so many people are so judgmental Jesus is not on the cross anymore it’s a sign of his love ♥️🙏🏾💯

When I first experience God's love, I cried too. I felt so bad that I mocked Him but I felt His forgiveness and ever since, my faith has grown. I did none of this myself. All I did was listen to God and things just started accumulating like He promised it would. The God head is so powerful. I'm so happy to know the triune God. It is God in His 3 forms.
