A Short Ferry Ride from Singapore to an Ocean View Villa at the Banyan Tree Bintan Resort Indonesia. We went for a romantic getaway to the Banyan Tree in Bintan to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We think Bintan is a good place to go for a short trip from Singapore as it's just a short ferry ride away. It is just a short one hour ferry ride from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal. Our villa had a private jacuzzi, a great ocean view, and a great view of the sunrise (if you can wake up early enough). The resort was also very nice with restaurants serving Western (The Cove), Indonesian (Treetops) and Thai (Saffron) cuisine. Guests can also access the restaurant at Cassia Hotel which is a short walk away for more dining options. It is really a good place for a relaxing beach holiday and a respite from city life. If the beach is not your thing, there are also two nice pools to enjoy, including an infinity pool. It was also not crowded when we visited, so if you want to get away from crowds, this could be a place to consider. Besides the place itself, the staff were very nice, helpful and provided excellent service. I think they made the trip even more memorable. What a great holiday at the Banyan Tree Bintan Resort.
