Two special males were Macho and Nacho. They were brought because of lack of interest. The person who brought them said they were about a year old and they would go along well together. Unfortunately, upon arrival it immediately became apparent that this was not exactly the case: they were put in two separate containers and when we put them together they immediately started fighting. It seems to be clear who was in charge and who wasn't, because Nacho's ears have missing pieces and his entire nose is badly injured. We cannot say with certainty whether this was caused by his cagemate or whether something else happened. Nacho is missing a piece of lip under his nose and has a piece of scar tissue on his nose. As a result, his teeth are affected and there is a hard brown layer over them. We don't know yet what we can do with this little guy, but we will only move him under special circumstances. First let's see how we can help him and maybe we can find a gentle male that suits him. We don't know yet whether we will look for a new baby boar as a buddy for Macho, because we don't know how intensely he reacts to other males. Castration may be a safer option. For now we are going to take good care of these little guys.
