I am a sharpener and sharpen my disposable blades all the time. I usually end up using a disposable blade for 3 months. I am just trying to do something good for the environment.

Do you also use a sharpening stone as well? What else could be used?

Why don't people just buy and learn to use safety razor, it's been my daily driver for years now and it's just fantastic at everything, close and fast chaving without any skin harsh (depends on your skills and skin type). I just hope people start thinking more about easy things that can help us all

You can sharpen it better and faster with a old leather belt. I sharpen my razor at least 2 times a week with great success.

That is stroping not sharpening. Stroping is done daily sharpening is done every several months when needed

This is helping me out, Keep up doing the great work! It's a pity that the like/dislike ratio is shit for this video. My view is that the video and message behind it both are helpful, that deserves a like. But maybe you figured it out yourself; otherwise: it may help to lower the music volume and up the microphone. But be careful when the volume indicator turns red; that means that it's distorting because of an overload of sound. The best solution is to master sound in different channels, and combining that with a sound mechanic called "side-chain", that mechanic lowers the volume of your music channel perfectly with the input of your voice via mic. If done properly and keeping mind of the volume indicator levelling them for no overdrive (red bars from earlier this message) then it may help your like/dislike ratio in this case to go more over in the green positive zone. To cap it; this is not a troll or negative feedback like message. I am very thankful for this video shearing your knowledge on youtube. And in return I gave you a like, a view, and with this message hopefully a little help in support. And maybe you figured it out by yourself. Then only remember that I'm thankful for this vid and as a viewer wanted to help you out a little :)

Stones I would use every several months when needed, but get a leather strop and use that before you shave on a daily or weekly basis depending on how often you shave.

@@gmy33 I have been trying to sharpen a double edge razor for a month using a number of techniques such as Sic powder of 8000 grit and then watchmaker diamantine and then stropping on cow leather and then a leather disc on my watchmaker lathe and then other things. All I can say is I shave in tears. Sharpening a DE razor is a challenge but I still do not give up
