Because short hair cost about the same and you'd end up having to use a few more strands for desired length vs using longer hair already and having the option of turning that one pack into 2 and generally using less hair

Doing knotless on myself I use the kids hair I used one pack of kids hair in my mom head and bought three so the rest amma use for mine 😭

How to ensure, that i dont burn the natural real hair? Also since normally the length of the hair is around 59 inches, how do you makebit so that the braid is even without being to long from adding several pieces to increase thickness?

Thank you. I used perm rods and dipped them in hot water. You can get them on amazon or your beauty supply store

If the ends are too blunt when you wrap it, it will do that. Make sure the ends are stretched/tapered well.
