I sold my last 03 Merc but man your videos are making me want to build another one......do you think the throttle body, upper plenum and Victor Jr. Intake were worth the upgrade? My last Panther was just a Marauder air box and intake tube with a 80mm MAF sensor, Marty Tune from Mo's Speed shop and custom dual exhaust, but willing to put in the work in the intake of the 4.6 if its worth the gains. Def will be getting a set of those Cams too along with a set of long tube headers and a true 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust system. Regardless, glad to see the car is still around and kicking ass as usual!

It would be hard for me to say. If your able to do most or all of the work yourself, it would cost you drastically less. Working on this car over the yrs, for the most part, has been a blast. I would really have to sit down and think about how much I have into it total. But just a few things for example for starters I bought the car for 7500 when it was only 2 yrs old. Also The only things I've paid to have done was the Dyno tuning, multiple rear end and differential configurations, and the transmission rebuild (I've rebuilt the valve body myself then went back into it to fine tune things multiple times), all other work I've done myself including pulling the transmission 5 times...lol. examples of some of this cost; the last time I had a gear swap including parts and a new diff and also truing and welding my axle tubes, cost me about $2000 Paid $1700 to have my transmission rebuilt, and $700+$150 for the Dyno Tune.($850 included 1st dyno tune, SCT handheld device, and 1 retune)

(Which are typically all the things you can do to the exterior of the engine such as intake, headers, intake mani, underdrive pullies, bigger TB... I suppose ITBs would technically count as a bolt on, but those are so badass the deserve a specific mention. And yes, I know you didn't do those here, I'm just saying.)

This converter will withstand anything I can throw at it with the small amount of power this engine makes...like i said though this 4.6 even stock doesn't make a ton of torque anywhere much less down low. @@biggyles9550 I've only ever seen a 4.6 2v make 300+ to the wheels. That was the vic featured in "car craft" magazine. To make that power they used trick flow cylinder heads and something close to a "stage 2" cam, long tubes, a dyno tune etc. There's also a guy that did a stroked his 4.6 2v. Used ported oem heads, long tubes, Victor Jr. Intake, 75mm throttle body matched with a huge upper plenum, and bolt on etc. He made a little over 300hp on a chassis dyno and maybe around 330 torque. His username is mrvic on KZread. Its hard to make good power with the 2v unless you use TFS heads and huge cams at the very least. Ateast N/A, anyway.

N/A. mainly just cams and intake mods, a good torque converter, a fresh tranmission with a rebuilt valve body, headers, good flowing exhaust and a low rear gear. some chassis mods and a few other little things.

@@JAMIE_ATKINS I hate to do it my man. But do you know specs/brand model of everything?? Because your Vic is exactly the setup I've been trying to dial in! Just never had the right sound, punch, etc. I went ahead and gave a Subscribe and did the thang. I have Stainless Works headers. Got a tune setup already from Marty. So can always have him re-tune me. Type of exhaust you run? Pipe diameter? Cams? Intake? Also know torque converter can really change characteristics of the motor, so guess that would be good to know also. Hey really. Thanks brother. For good content and for any in depth parts details! Can always direct message me on here.

@@Galli1084 this will be a long reply so I will get back when I have a moment one thing you guys gott understand though, this car was built to be quick and handle better than a stock p71. Nothing fancy. The car is something I messed around with years ago when I quit riding motocross, because i needed something.
