    That "golf ball" shaped bit was interesting. Leaves such a clean finish! Beautiful end result. Boy sure would love that ATC on my SS23 :)

    How did you get a outline of the floor? Can you use a 3d scanner? Or did you do the initial tracing on mylar and plot it on the cnc table with a probe? Thanks

  • @shopsabre

    There is a number of ways to accomplish this -- they make laser scanning devices for high volume needs but for many they use cardboard or tracing paper and then outline the shape and use the digitizing / tracing feature our controller offers standard to recreate the shape in CAD

    Could i use just the eva bit? Or does it make it that much more cleaner using the burr bit? Alot of xompanies are using 1 bit.

    The process we show is the way to achieve the best results. Some companies will cut out processes and steps but ultimately cutting corners rarely produces the same results.

    any recommendations for cutting on a non-vacuum bed? Using mdf sacrificial so able to add screws

  • @shopsabre

    @shopsabre

    Жыл бұрын

    We do recommend vacuum for this application and best performance as screws do not provide even holding force and can lead to accuracy concerns. You likely will want to consider using Tape on the backside to help if you are going to do this without vacuum.

    @@shopsabre Cheers Mate, double sided tape was on my mind to use also . Issue to would be that i only have a drag knife capability therefor risk movement of medium with that also. I'll have a crack at it one way or another .

    Hi Stefano, we ran these at 400 IPM and 24000 RPM. The key is to run each tool in both a climb and conventional cut. Good luck and thanks for watching!

    Yes, on the screen our system will display RPM & IPM - both are adjustable on the fly with the appropriate machine options. In this video, we ran 400IPM & 24K
