I "overheard" her on the phone talking to someone about that stuff and she had a "guy" come give her pricing on it. I heard $20 for a record of... something... and then $10 for another that had a little damage on the cover art. Since I'm not INTO that sort of thing, it didn't make since for me to even consider it.

I saw a huge Led Zeppelin picture in the basement the 4 band member in front of their airplane. I would so buy that, I'm a big fan. The plastic Jimi Hendrix album cover is probably worth a pretty penny also. So jealous , awesome video.

my first time time watching one of your videos,@@RealNiftyVintage , The music room, you said probably remakes, but you didn't look for dates on the album covers, the posters, wall art, Sweetheart, pleaseeeee.. do your homework. Look this stuff up..even if YOU have no interest in an item, there are others that would die to have some of those pieces and pay GOOD MONEY for them.

How lucky you are to get out and shop! I'm so jealous. Loved the poster art and the old Beatles albums. I grew up on that stuff from the 60's. Longaberger baskets used to be very collectible, but I don't know about now. Wish I had that Woodstock poster that was on the wall in the basement. I lived thru that summer of peace and love in NY.

The "Tommy" print is a pinball machine. Tommy was a 70s Broadway rock opera, which later became a movie. "That deaf, dumb and blind kid, sure plays a mean pin ball"...Pinball Wizard, Elton John. Roger Daughtry played Tommy, and he was very easy on the eyes. It's unique, great music. I think you would dig it Jeffrey. That print was prob worth good money. Still a cult following among my generation.

Thanks for the awesome video of your journey through the estate sale. I caught this video for the first time. What an adventure! The rock 'n' roll artwork at 19:00 in was wild! Looked like some original drawings and some Robert Crumb artwork - exceptionally pricey if it's original - extremely so. The "Tommy" framed piece was from the classic UK band, "The Who". All of that framed stuff, on those two walls, seemed to be incredible. I think they were handbills from rock concert venues (1960s/early 70s) and are also rare and could go for a lot of money. The large posters go for thousands apiece, the handbills-probably a few hundred. The owners of the home were definitely "rockers"! Great house and great area all around!

So fun to see you out and about shopping again, even if the sale was a bit disappointing! I understand passing up some things. I do that, too. There are items I know would probably sell well that I could make a profit on but they just don't speak to me, so I don't often make myself buy them. I leave them for someone else who loves them. BTW, the wooden, folding measuring ruler is called a carpenters rule or a folding rule. It can be used in so many ways other than just as a straight measuring tool. My dad has been a carpenter and builder since he was a teen working with his older brother, and he's in his 80s now still working and still building! Watching him with a carpenters rule figuring a project is truly amazing. One of the things of his I will always cherish is one of his folding rules he gave me. They do still make and sell them but you can usually tell the newer ones from the older ones.

You look and acted SO much better so your migraine must be gone. I know you bought some stuff but what a disappointment that sale was. All that stuff, you got to shop alone and you didn't have to fight anyone for anything, you could set your stuff down without anyone taking it and sadly it was almost all new stuff. It is a pain when items aren't marked and she should have stayed with you so you could ask her. You might have bought more if you could have asked her the prices. At least you got good prices on what you bought. If you go to another sale like that I suggest just making a big pile of what you want as they tend to give just a price for the whole pile. thanks for all these videos. : )

Another thing you missed out on was I saw lots of albums. I know you probably don’t know anything about them but what I sell for albums in my booth every month pays my $165.00 rent. Albums are very hot right now but they want the rock. Anyway great video Jeffrey. Glad to see you selling on EBay now you already seem to be doing more sales.

My sister and I have been prepping my dad's estate for a sale. We were originally planning to have it early April. Now we have to decide when and how to do it. I am concerned about people coming into the home and touching things, bringing germs in on their shoes, etc. We could have hand cleaning wipes and shoe covers, I'm sure, and ask people to wear masks. I would want them to wear masks the whole time though. Maybe the private pick, like you did here, is the way to go? I don't know. Seems like it would draw it out really long for us, though. I really enjoyed shopping vicariously with you, Jeffrey. There are some estate sales advertising near me as early as this weekend. I'm itching to go, but want to do so safely.

We find out tonight here in Kansas when and what gets to open next week . I’m excited to start sourcing again but cautious about some estate sales as they can be cramped . There’s a open air flea market that plans to open with precautions so we will most likely do that ( with mask) Have been listing from a dead pile bin of a Replacements dealers estate from a few years back . I’ve seen a few older items that are Farberware who are now mostly know for pans. Pretty sure Scott (Old Curiosity Shop) did a explanation on some older Farberware . As always enjoyed the video !

Maybe you don't pick these up, but you missed a sapphire blue and jadite Fireking mugs. They still sell pretty well for me.

Safi: what was that Twilight Zone item? That’s what I noticed that didn’t even get a second glance. Even though the Dorothy cow was messed up, perhaps you could have bought it anyway in addition to the shamrock one. You are so lucky!

Rule of thumb: Work with a set amount of cash, watch impulse purchases as small items add up quick, think about what the public likes when you re-sell. I see so many people buying items of very little value concentrate on the items which will bring you the most cash. Times have certainly changed since I had an antique store now all these items seem too new for my taste. I do know, however, the Millennials likes items from the 1950's and the 1960's.
