Who Am I?
I am a Management Consultant in real life but in my Bootlosophy channel, I make videos about boots and all things boot-related. This channel posts reviews of boots, unboxing of new boots, and follow-up reviews, and in doing so, may explore the philosophy of the brands from time to time!
I have owned boots for decades, but to be honest I have owned them as functional pieces of footwear. It wasn't until early 2020 when COVID struck that I started online shopping boots to an obsessive degree. I love the aesthetic of boots and I love finding out more about how they are made. I now own an insane number of boots, and one day I may sell some of them (just not right now).

I'm really enjoying your channel. You're running laps on most of the other boot reviewers at the moment. Great collection as well.
Wow, that's some collection! I thought I had an addiction 😆 Please make a video of your footwear room where you store the collection.
I only started watching a few weeks ago but I have found Tek very helpful! So much so I just bought pair of Grant Stone Chelsea Boot in Earth to compliment my RM Williams collection! I also had the comment as I found this videos attempt at transition hilarious. Great work and keep it up!
You gave a lot of great advice and info. I think the part of not worrying about the one that got away is particularly important for auctions. We all get tempted to incrementally increase our bids to the point of it not being worth it.
Love this, very informative, thank you Teik!!!!
thanks for this information, it is very appreciated.
I've been blessed with some *Finds* as well... 1000 Miles for $10.50, Rag & Bones for $34, RW Roughnecks for $65, RW Short Motorcycle Engineers for $25, Double H Combat Boots for $40, Wesco Jobmasters for $80. All USD. Some I have sold off to pay for recrafts and some recrafted and sold for a profit. Again... great content. Cheers!
Your jump cuts are such a treat
thanks for the information.
Amazing, you’ve made some really good buys.👍👍👍👞
this is a good one!! Great job as usual

Thank you 🙏
Good examples from personal experience. I appreciate that you calculated the percentage of the discount that you got from buying used. I just wish there will be more options for the people with wider feet on the ebay 😅
Yes I got my nicks falcon brown cromexcel in mint condition not even break in for $250.00 and brand new Oakstreet bootmaker natural cromexcel for $175.00. Also mint whites dark brown wax flesh for $350.00
Well done, Uncle!

Reddit and Grailed are also options beyond eBay to get a good deal on some second hand boots. And sometimes you'll see the same boot listed on all three!

True but both of those are not in Australia
Darn that was good.
You mentioned a seller that revitalizes boots. I can’t find them on eBay. Could you tell me the name of the seller? Love the common sense and low key approach to your channel.

I didn’t keep his name but there are several. If you see a listing that looks quite professional, look at all their listings.
I bought my Thursday Loggers for 185. Unfortunately they're a bit small so I have them posted for sale on Reddit
I know it’s not your typical video format…but have you considered doing a video to see if really thorough washing/scrubbing with dawn dish soap would lighten up those iron rangers? That would make for an interesting video considering the extent to which they were over conditioned?
@Bootlosophy

I tried that when I got them. I also used alcohol and acetone, but the oils and conditioners were over saturated already.
Where do you get your shoe cedars from? You have a lot and they’re quite pricey here in Aus’ hey!? Great video I’ve been waiting for this, have tried to buy stuff off eBay but no good find yet for me. Hopefully now I will!

I get mine from Amazon.
Definitely agree with all your points, my only issue is I can never seem to find anything in my size! I have huge feet 🤣🤣

There are some advantages to being “average” 🤷🏻♂️
No Way! im always looking didnt see that there.
Thanks for the video. Any recommendations around shipping boots to Australia?
@Bootlosophy

In what sense? The method is generally out of your control and up to the seller/eBay
@jmpak80

All good, just wondering if you have some neat trick to make it cheaper an d easier to ship it to australia as quite a few of the listing do no offer shipping outside of Australia :)
@jmpak80

Sorry I mean outside of the US
@Bootlosophy
Жыл бұрын
@@jmpak80 if they don’t, I usually contact the seller and ask them to change the listing to “overseas” and that should then show the eBay recommended postage cost
I know you mentioned foot bed forming to the wearers foot. What questions can you ask or what’s the best way to find out wear on the foot bed? Thanks!
@Bootlosophy
Жыл бұрын
I think best to just ask! "Has the footbed shaped to your feet? Is it quite depressed?" And hope for honesty.
I just don’t think I could wear boots someone else wore. Not my thing

Yea I would only buy slightly used. Lots sell because they aren’t the right size and they are very slightly used.
