At 70 years old .I too am alone. It took me a good amount of time to get used to cooking for one. Now when I cook I make several lock-n-lock containers for one person and freeze them.

Which we had a discount store in lake county, Illinois. Progresso when on sale USE to be on sale for .99 cents each. Now 3 for 5.00

I agree Sharp shopper is an amazing store. They should spread out more we could all use this store ☺️.

Omg! This is the first time I've ever heard of this store and it looks so awesome! It's almost like a really cheap sams club the way the aisles are set up lol

Virginia locations going to be a little bit of a drive for you Harrisonburg, Waynesboro and Winchester. I just googled and it looks like NC has several discount grocery stores too that might be worth checking out if there close too. I watch another ladys KZread that lives in NC but travels over the line to SC to a few discount grocery stores (Deals Galore, and the other one I can’t remember the name but could be Savealot .

I found a grocery outlet store close to me that has prices like Sharp Shopper. My husband LOVES anything Mexican and loves his cheese dip. I got tortillas for 25 cents for a 10 count bag, jars of queso for $1, salsa for $1. I stocked up! They also had amazing deals on produce.

We drove all the way to Pennsylvania to the closest Sharp Shopper because of your videos! It’s a 5 hour drive but we loved it! We filled the car from top to bottom! Next time, we are taking the truck and loading the back! We didn’t know they were closed on Sunday though. We are driving there on a Friday, staying the night, shopping at Sharp Shopper and then heading home with our stash! We got there 1/2 hour before closing on Saturday night and they were closed Sunday so we will be more prepared and have a better schedule next time!

How was it ?

You brought back memories when you mentioned your husband having a slicer and cutting the cheese. My parents raised 7 kids on one income and at some point bought a slicer and cut their own ham, cold cuts, roast beef etc. They thought it saved them a LOT buying the canned hams, cooking a turkey and slicing it, etc. Really great prices at Sharp Shopper!

Oh seeing the breakfast sausage reminded me I wanted to share. I played around with some appetizers before Christmas and one called for cooked sausage and onions. After doing so I didn't use it all and put the remainder in a freezer bag for later. I woke last week craving sausage gravy and decided to use my little freezer stash (forgetting the onions inside) I got the pan hot and made me some sausage gravy. Oh my heaven it was absolutely the best I've ever eaten!!! Yessum it was a surprise and I will never make it any other way. Blessings y'all!!

Sharp Shopper is like the "Grocery Outlet" stores we have in northern California but mega size! I'm so jealous lol !

Hooray for you and other shoppers in your area! So glad that you are able to find all these blessings. It is kind of sad but 'boo' for those of us in areas where we don't have opportunities like this due to shipping costs, lack of warehouse hubs, etc. I've been working to build up a pantry for hubby and me in case of hard times. I'm a retiree grandmom now but raised my kiddos to try to always delight in their friends' good fortune and not feel slighted by God if they didn't have the same wonderfulness. Times like this are where the Rubber Hits The Road for this mama, hahaha. I'm always so tickled to get to see the wonderful buys you can find for your family, Jamerrill. You are a great shopper!

I only have five kids left at home as well. I shop at our discount store called Grocery Outlet, and I do see similar things to your store but the discounts are no where near what they used to be. It’s fun to see what’s available in different areas!

Where I live, I'm used to driving an hour to get to Sharp Shoppers. To me, it is worth it. Thank you for sharing!

KC could really use one or 4. Put one I. Each county clay, platte, Johnson, Jackson. I’d say the dotte needs one but it would just be a shoplifter’s paradise. If they steal from a dollar tree they would steal from here. Wonder who you’d contact to put one in. I k ie a perfect place where Hy-Vee was.

She did a good job on your hair! Very pretty. We have an Amish store near that we can get the bulk/bagged items, a small bakery and deli, but hardly any frozen, produce or name brand items. Sharp Shopper for the win!

Hi Jamerrill and family! Wow I can see why you really like Sharp Shopper.We have Go Grocery here, but their prices are going up 😕but some items are still cheaper than other stores! I wish it had more .99 cent items. Oh and eggs here are 4.98 a dozen and more in stores, but I have chickens and there still laying good for us this winter we get around 2 dozen a day. God has blessed us. Thank you jesus!!!!

Sometimes I just need to hear your voice. My childhood wasn’t one of love or peacefulness as your’s wasn’t either. I find it healing and brings me peace to see another mother with kindness and joy i.e. like you.

I just checked online to see what stores are comparable to sharp shopper and found some within 5 miles of me. We have Aldi, Lidl, Sava a lot and a few more. This made my day!!! Hope your family members are doing better and healing after their accident...prayers to all of you.

Sav a Lot is cheaper than Sharp Shopper since this area has both. Sav a Lot seemed to have less selection and the quality didn't seem as good.

No way would I have passed up the book. I'm a book fanatic myself! Good job momma!

I was there during the holidays! Stocked up on items in the bulk foods section, and got my Martins chips!!!! I will be back in the spring when I visit my dad!!

I'm loving the book, former librarian so yeah. The minute you mentioned the soups I said " She's getting those. Those are so great for kids.". Then the oj. Great video. Hope your back is feeling better.

I absolutely love this store. I try to hit it up at least once every month to 2 months. Bargains!! I am near the naval base in VA, so the trip is about 2.5 hours one way. I always get the Jimmy Dean frozen sausage tubes. The ice teas, orange juice, fruit drinks and coffees in the refrigerated section as well as the yogurts. They all come home and into the freezer. I have gotten 50 pound bags of wheat berries, oats, barley, wheat bran and sugar at great prices. I forgot the name brand, but they are pickled beet hard boiled eggs, not in a jar, but in a sealed bag, ready for snackin. They had 8 in the bag for $0.50. We bought several and put them in pickled beet juice in jars and kept them in the fridge. Normally 2 eggs would go for $0.79. Wheat berries are hard to find in 50pound bags. You can order them online, but shipping costs, yikes! Snacks...they always have some kind of chips and organic ones as well and you can find them for $0.50 a bag or 3 for $1.00. Their canned goods have great bargains as well. That whole store. If you go, put at least an hour aside to really walk around and look at the products because inventory changes. I picked up during the summer strawberry flats for $8.00. Made preserves and froze some for smoothies. We always walk out with 2 carts full, full, full. When we get home, we start vacuum sealing, freezing, processing and preserving. Can't be beat with their prices.

Your shopping hauls total works out around $34 per person per week... Seems like fab deals to me 😁

Love the egg deal! Haha, I go through over two to three dozen a week! I was going through close to four dozen when pandemic hit…. Lol now only three of us are usually at home, but I also shop,cook and bake, share with my aging parents too…. Lol nothing like a hardboiled egg for a snack, or an egg salad sandwich on toasted bread of choice….. haha the egg or making egg salad is still cheaper and one can control the salt too….. lol better than all the lunch meats each day….

We don’t have sharp shopper but we have Grocery Outlet and it is amazing!! Very similar to SS, Grocery Outlet even had those Epic cookie mixes too (I bought a couple!). I love grocery outlet and my family jokes I should be their spokesperson because I rave about them. 😂

I've thought about a trip from Indiana, as well.

I got a 60 box of eggs at Walmart this weekend for 20 bucks. I thought that was expensive. Wow 30 bucks. Crazy. I told the kids they were golden eggs.

I have SLE and sometimes it is hard to find the motivation to get in the kitchen. Now I put on Jamerrill and get my food prep done, on good days I get extra cooked for the not so good days. Thank you so much.

I so wish we had Sharp shopper here in southwestern IL. I hope they expand and build some stores more western than they have now. I Love watching shop in yours
