I am going to miss you Jim. God rest your soul.
was i the only one expecting the ad at the start with the dude on the couch to get up and grab a Krag
The Krags were issued with bayonets with serial numbers matching the rifle's. If you've got the matching bayonet it greatly increases collector value.
Not Scandinavian design. Norwegian through and through. Kongsberg in Norway, designers Krag and Jørgensen designed three Krag Jørgensen rifles. One for Denmark, one for USA and one for Norway
The box magazine fed Winchester ( '96?) Made famous by the .405 Winchester also came in 30/ 40 Krag. It was issued to the Texas Rangers at the time.
Over the years I've seen a lot of Krags turned into sporterized hunting rifles, because for yeas, collectors ignored the rifles, they only wanted the carbines. Some were poorly done but I've seen others that are as good as any commercially made hunting rifle. They're the only gun I would not mind buying sporterized because what the Krags lacked in military tech, they more than made up for as a hunting rifle.
I really enjoy your programs and am a Life member with the NRA .
It is disappointing that at no point in the video did you mention the ACTUAL name of the rifle, US Springfield rifle Model 1892-1898. Krag-Jorgensen were the designers. Lets give some credit to the skilled gunsmiths at the Springfield Arsenal for manufacturing such a fine rifle.
Does it make coffee?
I see your channel. Your video topic is very good. There is a problem in your channel, so the video is not viewed. For example, your channel's video SEO is not good done, thumbnail is not good, title problem,
An interesting addition to a collection of historic US rifles. Thank you for your work.
Thanks for another fantastic show. Commercials really cool too.👍👍
It was also used in South Africa by some boers in the 2nd Anglo-Boer war.
Great Video 🎉
I can’t believe I owned one.
There is a video on KZread where a mosin nagant stripper clip could be used with the Krag
