Shooting Sequins at 50 yards with 22 long rifle
Once a month I go to the small bore benchrest match at Bayou Rifles gun club. We shoot three bench rest targets then for added fun we shoot aspirins at 50 yards. 22-Plinkster calls this drug abuse, maybe that is why we switched to sequins this time. This was going to be camera experiment part 2 but since this was a real shooting match I figured it deserved a better name. It was a cold rainy day with wind blowing in from the left then the front then the right and back again. When I remove the camera to insert the bolt you can see the rain drops on my rifle stock. I tied for first place with 8 hits. I am not sure of this count, maybe something fell off while I was carrying the wet target so leave a comment as to what you think the count is. The rifle was custom made in Houston by

these guys are using a lead-sled to shoot 50 yds.
The canting is doing my head in!
We've been using Tic Tacs indoors on a 50' range. They fit right in a previous 22 hole and the spongy material of the backer holds them secure. Get a nice little color burst depending on the flavor, lol.
Harold, nice shooting nice shooting
what kind of ammo are you using? I have a nice Schultz & Larsen M70 that I recently acquired and love very much so far. it has a nice 26", .920" barrel and I'm looking for the best ammo to shoot with it. I've tried 9 brand or model and so far I got my best results with: Blazer, CCI Stinger, and the two best: Remington 22 Target and Remington Viper
Great shooting mate Give it some!
Thanks
miss plinking with 22 but here in California 22 ammo is like in search of the holy grail...
Wind was awful that day. Couldn't figure it out at all. Nice to see the mechanics of how someone else shoots.
when I was a kid we would kill squirrels by "barking them" We would use a high powered rifle, generally a 30-06. We would aim as close to the head as possible without hitting it and wait until the head came close to the tree or limb and fire aiming as close to the head and hitting the bark thus killing the squirrel from the concussion.
Boy, Do I remember that from Army basic training 1969.01 to 02-28.
Very good shooting btw
I am going to shoot my first bench rest match soon after I attend some matches to get the idea. Your camera setup is excellent. Are you sighting in on a monitor?
HI, can you tell me whit kind of scope you are using? a 8-32x50?
Can you tell me please, something about the optic?.. Think is at the maximum magnification.. But reticle is pretty good!
What rifle are you using?
What kind of gun to go along with that Weaver t36
What brand is your 22 my husband has a 22 but it is so dang loud.I noticed yours is more quiet.
Hi! how far away was the target? the lens is a weaver t36?
Shooting in gusty winds.... As I learned pulling the trigger softly, slowly is good. No hasty trigger pulls. How to manage in gusty winds? Use a shotgun..... Joking.
