Shooting an agfamatic 1008 pocket with 110 film expired in 1994

I found some 110 film in a drawer, expired in 1994 (26 years !) and decided to shoot it with an agfamatic pocket (popular format in the 70's and 80's) easy to carry in the moutains and at sea side where you will see example shots

Loved the results. I feel more drawn to simple and easy cameras. They tend to do more dreamy captures.

@@RetifsGarage it is! Lomography started to produce them in 2008. I though that too because I have a Kodak mini-instamatic s40 and the film format is also 110 and I found out about lomo films and already bought two! They have some different interesting filters in each film that you may like. Hope I could help :)

Oh man, our family had one of these when I was a kid. When I was in my teens, I was allowed to take it on school trips - I remember getting told off for taking too many shots! I always loved the tactile feel of the extension/wind on and the jointed metal strap.

All Agfa cameras had real glass lenses unlike Kodak pocket and instamatic cameras which had horrible blurry plastic lenses. The grain in your pictures is caused by the expired film, not the camera fault.

Yes, I pretty sure the film is very expired, it’s difficult to find fresh 110 film, but it’s nethertheless a nice experience to shoot with that camera ! I think the way the lab processed it and scanned it also played a role, I shot another roll with that camera (see in my other video : kzread.info/dash/bejne/kadmx5SEiraWYso.html ) and scan it myself, I had better results... thanks for your comment !

Yes I agree, probably due to the age of the film combined with the small size of 110 films, makes it very grainy....almost pointillist

Hello, two solutions, you can ask your lab when developing your film to scan and provide digital photos (most labs do that) or you can scan it yourself but with 110 films, as the film is tiny, that can be a bit tricky…
