I’ve recently been leaning into creating shorts and miss the quality of my Sony camera as well. This video confirmed that I made the right choice by purchasing an L bracket. Thank you!

I'll just point out that many brackets (including this one it would appear) are Arca Swiss compatible and depending on your tripod head will attach directly and more securely without the need for a quick release plate.

Withthe tripod hes using i think you wouldnt be able to make up and down adjustments only side to side if you use the bracket, i have the same bracket and similar tripod and have to use the quick release plate or else i cant change the height without fully raising or lowering the tripod

Don’t make it harder on yourself. If you shoot 4k 16:9 and edit in 1080p timeline you can punch in and reframe w/o losing quality. A good tip is to keep subjects in the middle.

Just another way to go. And don't have to worry about keeping subjects in the middle. Guess you could mask off your monitor.

You know that the tripod head has a hinge that accomplishes the same thing right. But do your thing, it works too.

The trouble with that is the camera will not then sit directly over the axis of rotation. The bracket is definitely the way to go.

I just bought the same L-Bracket from temu for 2€. Just to see what i get by ordering there.😂

I have the same setup ZV-E1 with Tamron 17-28mm and Crane M3 However there are 2 ways to use in vertical. One is choosing "portrait" from gimbal modes and the other is to simply rotate the gimbal 90 degrees anticlockwise and it will just adjust and you can use any mode youd like with it What are your thoughts and what is your experience with vertical shooting with the setup? Because i mainly bought it for vertical content and i feel unhappy now cause its not that good tbh

Sure, if your tripod head does that. I also like having the camera centered on top of the tripod when using big, heavy lenses, and doing camera moves.

@@themoment237 yeah man nothing is compatible, i even tried getting a cage for my camera and it was too heavy, doesnt work. Youre better of getting a camera with larger sensor to capture more footage in 4k landscape and then edit to make it vertical.

for this type of tripod not really necessary to buy L bracket tho

Maybe not for static shots, but if you want to pan and tilt, bracket makes it easier and more accurate.

This is a KZread SHORT for a reason. The purpose of a short is to condense as much as possible in a "short" video format.

And your shoulders were still out of frame. Vertical video is awful!
