For the ones that was wondering where this was... The Fling is there now. The booth (store) is where people went into and got to see their photos there from shoot the rapids.

Nothing beats white water landing

i think they should have made this ride into like a themed like in door water ride. like pirates of carribean

Cedar point appears to be allergic to indoor rides now and *especially* theming. Steel and concrete, fast and tall 😂

Other than the drops, this thing looked like a snooze fest. I don't know what Intamin was thinking when they designed this.

Cool concept but it just didn't work.

Always found it weird that they put the smaller drop second.

Had nothing to do with safety, it just costed way too much to maintain with how much downtime it had.

It had everything to do with safety. A boat actually slipped down the coaster and flipped in the water holding 7 people underwater for some time. They tore it down after that.

@@forliberty1805no they didn’t lol, it remained operational until 2015 due to low ridership. The safety flaws (many of those) were fixed in 2014. Learn your facts before making false assumptions, kid.

This didn't look too eventful. What did they put in it's place, after it was dismantled?

@@jam6079 None of that is true. The lot is still empty, and the combined it into whats left of dinosaurs alive for a new adventure area. The Ripcord is now where the second drop used to be.

It was a cool little hang out spot fornkids last season. It had people dressed as cow boys and scavanger hunts and a playground but idk if it will still be that way next season (Im a platinum pass holder and I got almost once a week each summer so you can trust my answer) And no they did not replace it with snake river falls, snake river falls is older than shoot the rapids and is located towards the cedar point museum while shoot the rapids was by the petting zoo.

it will be different seeing it cone and the one rides near soak city will be their but their is still room to put a ride in it 2017 water park 2018 family launch coaster (that is what i what to see )that is my prediction ( rip shoot the rapids see never again never got a ride =,(

Went on this in 2011 for a class trip. I liked the iron dragon better. Hated this because I don’t really like drops
