I saw Shonen Knife when they supported Nirvana at the QMU in Glasgow in ‘91! I had to bunk off work as a night shift security guard to catch the gig. I had to go to bootlegged the show, as I was a huge fan! Couldn’t stay for Nirvana though....!

What a great performance. Naoko took the band a long way since then, but miss those days with Michie. Love the interaction between the two. Now that Atsuko is back at times, it would be neat if the original girls could get together for some shows.

Was this their first tour in the US? I saw them on it at the I-Beam in San Francisco, but can't remember the year. They opened with Bear Up Bison, and from the first note, sounded exactly like their tape (as they do here), which blew everyone away. Totally delivered, in other words! It was a magic night and warm too, a rarity here :)
