@@joshuarobinson6901 and of those people who are known to be problematic. Katherine Heigl was a pain to work with. I've heard Patrick wanted way more money than the lead that plays Meredith. Burke was homophobic and shonda isn't so they clashed.

Eva Oravcova, in a normal work environment if you fire someone just because you don't like them, this may amount to unfair or constructive dismissal. In such a situation the employer (here Shonda) can be sued by the employee (here an actor). Of course, it is unprofessional even if you couldn't sue your employer. Employing someone is based on their skills and, in the case of television, on how fans perceive the actor and their character. Personal feelings should go out the door when it comes to work, especially if you are considering to fire someone.

Patricia Roseto, I agree. I think she has taken herself too seriously and the actresses who really love her probably just pretend, so they keep their jobs as we have seen what happens to actors who leave Shonda land. I think she uses her influence for cruel purposes.

@Flenif2247, you obviously don't see the difference between professional and personal life. That's not a problem for me to deal with. However, when someone with power does it, they should be called out.

I highly doubt it was only 1 actor/character... we have all heard the many behind the scenes stories of her and cast members not seeing eye to eye.

Yeah after greys she does more though background personality checks on all crew on her shows. Funny how it's just greys actors that seem to have problems and none from her other 5 shows

I think Shonda destroyed Katherine Heigl career and used her connections and sarcastic comments to make her look bad. Come to think of it if she made her statements now it wont be big of a deal. Rob Pattinson always makes fun his twilight days but was never bashed. Its such a shame cause Katherine is a great actress. And all the characters they killed written off are the great ones.

That's what I've always said if you think about it after katherine left Gray's Anatomy she did do more shows but they only had one season and a lot of directors refuse to work with her because shonda had power and the only Network that picked up heigl was USA Network for her to do season 9 of suits and I'm so grateful that they picked her shonda killed off a lot of characters she killed off to our night because he wanted to come out as gay

@@Kameaux No she didn't. That was just the fallouts of what Shonda Rhimes had said about her. Not a single one of her co-stars have ever come out and bashed her. Everyone has always just had positive things to say about her. But back in the day Shonda was the Queen of television and what she said had a lot of power and it was a time when female actors were just supposed to shut up and smile. Even Judd Apatow and Seth Rogen have come out and said they have no bad feelings towars Katherine and that she does not need to apologize for anything.

Well she only killed him off because T.R wanted to came out but she didn’t let him plus he was getting less screen time so he asked to leave but she didn’t have to kill him smh

No matter what the issues are, the character of Derek should not have been terminated in the show. Probably better if Derek and Meredith were falling out of love and had to temporarily undergo a “cooling off” period, Derek to leave and disappear indefinitely leaving Meredith and the kids. Then eventually back into each other arms in later seasons/episodes. They are a perfect couple in the show.

It wouldn’t have made sense for his character to leave his wife and children indefinitely, it would have ruined the legacy of his character. Honestly it made sense to kill his character off because he was married to the main character and their love story was so integral to the show. But killing George (who was about to leave for the army anyway), Heather, Lexie, Mark and Andrew (there are probably other I am forgetting) were unnecessary and could have been handled differently. The more you kill off characters, the less impact it actually has.

It´s Izzie, Shonda and Katherine Heigl never had a good relationship.. They have talk about this before Izzie did´nt die tho, she left and i hate her for leaving Alex :)

Alot of people are saying its Katherine Heigl but that would mean Izzie would have died. Izzie still alive. It was Patrick Dempsey’s character Derek Shepard, he had an affair on the show and was killed off.

It was Kathrine Hiegl. And no, she didn't 'kill' her off, but killed off the show just the same. She was miserable ,&, arrogant and complained constantly of feeling like her character wasn't givin' plot worthy of her acting talent'. Which led up to the ridiculous speech that basically killed her career.

Big Sky Skinz but she wasn't, her character to start with was good, and her storyline building up her exit was good but most of the show she was just a joke and wasn't taking seriously as a doctor. She simply expressed her unhappiness with her storyline's and Shonda went in a huff and wrote her off the show.

Cierdh mcgregor I never understood her characters purpose until later. I thought at first she was just eye candy! She was mostly annoying bc she was dysfunctional & full of drama. Truthfully her character didn't show any real surgeon skills like the rest! She had great patient rapport and thats a WEAK ASS gift considering what the other characters had going for them Alex: pediatric Christina: cardio George: general surgery Meredith: general surgery and R&D. I hardly recall seeing her in an OR very much! she had no worthy surgeon storyline purpose except as a catalyst of conflict with Alex and George...and as the side kick bff. Her back story was as fleshed out as any 2nd string character could hope. Shonda addressed her teen pregnancy... Her mom showed up... She had her dramatic Denny love story...so what was left??? She was the resident Drama Queen!THAT was her purpose but that was too lowly for Miss Katherine "Hepburn"! Every character can't be a Rockstar but Izzy served a purpose . She couldn't handle not having a constant A+ storyline so she pouted, complained and made an enemy of the Exec Producer. She took a chance pissin in Shonda Cheerios and lost. She deserved to be kicked off the Island! Lol!

+Bohemian Chic Vibe I agree with you 100%but what I never understood she said that she consider burke and her to be friends that being said why didn't izzie ask burke to teach her everyone seen how advanced cristina had become under burke so to me it would have made people take her serious if izzie went to burke for guidance burke wouldn't turn izzie down I think it would have made more logic if izzie and burke had became best friends one's a baker a the other a cook the thanksgiving episode made me say burke and izzie work great together and really have chemistry and the scene in season three when the two are standing outside the hospital trying to decide to stay or go only made me say why the writers didn't see that it's something there with these two she said that when she walks into a patient's room they think she's the nurse and that she wanted to be taken serious going to burke and learning under him could have gave her the respect izzie wanted but Addison offer to teach her but izzie turn her down simply because Addison was trying to get her husband back and izzie being friends with Meredith basically ignore the offer she got assigned a lot of times to burke it just would have made practically that's she under burke's guidance so much she should've became his second protege and gave cristina some competition one last thing I think instead of making Hahn a closet lesbian they should've wrote that her a burke had a personal and sexual relationship at John Hopkins that went bad because the two was so competitve to be first in their class and that's why the two respect each other but won't say it to each other face to face that's my idea what do you think agree or disagree.

So unprofessional and immature of her, using her power to take someone off job is just gross

I think izzie because she was arrogant. But I like her she is such an amazing actor. And she and Justin cambers are from Germany and I live in Germany this is so cool 🤗

+Revol Lution She was acting in a bunch of movies at the time and she couldn't do both. Shonda Rhimes was upset when she left, because her character was really popular at the time. I think she's talking about the guy who played Dr.Burke. The guy was a total ass who made homophobic comments against the guy who played George, who is actually gay.

Dr. Burke was never killed off. Shonda has even brought him back on the show in recent years. She and Katherine have bad blood but Izzie's technically still alive so...I think she was actually talking about McDreamy. It could have also been T.R. or Columbus...but I highly doubt it.

Ig I can see were she is coming from by doing this but also when Derek died imo the show went down by like 15%. There was already so few original characters and Darek dying really topped it off. I'll admit that maybe the show wouldnt of been much better without Derek but I doubt it. Even then this death isn't the only tragic one in the show, some other deaths with huge impacts include George, Mark, Lexi and many more.

This show is just a big rip off of E.R.

Erica is alive, she only had one of the worst main character sendoff EVER...I know they didn't like her (not Shonda) but Brooke smith, as a good actress, didn't deserve that... While Charles, I don't think he and Shonda had a bad relationship
