Oh yeah! I enjoyed their rivalry between each other. Chef Ash’s food theme is based on Italian and Brian’s food theme is based on Asian culture.

I was rooting for my boy Brian, but I knew Chef Ash was going to win. Sir, there’s a reason why she’s cooking all that delicious food. Better luck next time bro! 💪🏽

I'm sorry I love Brian but he did not deserve that point. He bought the Al Pastor from a food truck which means he did not season, marinate or cook it himself. I've watched enough cooking competitions to know that is a big no no. Hell chefs get eliminated from Top Chef for using frozen puff pastry or store bought tortillas. 😂

It was kinda like Restaurant chef vs Home chef. Chef Ash’s dishes were super fancy and complex. Brian’s felt very chill and simple. Both are great, but Chef Ash definitely deserved that win.

Good attempt, Brian. However, the protein element in his main dish was bought from a food truck. Should've been an automatic disqualification for that round.

I think the judges should have tasted ALL the dishes first before finding out who made what, cause after the first dish they could already assume which ones were made by Brian (since he said he was doing asian fusion stuff). All in all, it was a great idea! And I'd love to see more of these cooking battles between creators!

I felt a little bias between some of the judges for chef ash. I think Brian one actually I feel like a lot of the dishes he made were more my comfort zone. Rematch

thats obvious who would you trust more a doctor or someone who is studying to be a doctor. the bias wasnt unwanted since they did'nt know how good his cooking is plus he set the bar really high so he had to go big or go home and he lost.

The way he thought he could beat someone paid to cook on this show and didn’t even prepare everything himself 😂

I would love a series of Chef Ash cooking different challenge dishes. Either fan submissions or staff submissions. She is just so passionate and it makes you want to try everything she cooks.

We need more from this series! I LOVE this to much- from the behind the scenes cooking to the judges comments really made it feel so wholesome!

Brian straight up cheated, you can’t claim a dish as yours if someone else cooked a major component of it! That’s like saying i made tacos with el pastor brought from the taqueria up the street, but they’re my tacos! His pineapples looked canned too but that’s ok. I can’t look past the el pastor being done by the taco truck though.

I want to see Chef Ash and Chef Josh from Mythical Kitchen go at it 😂

How selfless of Brian to go and challenge Chef Ash knowing he was going to lose just for our entertainment.

This should happen more often in general with proper rules next time. It'd be great to get guest professional chefs to do shokugekis. Even more amazing if this actually popularizes the idea of professional chefs actually doing real shokugekis on video.

While I get that ppl are a little disappointed that Brian used a lot of premade elements, going against a professionally trained chef was more or less a losing battle from the get go, even without giving him every chance possible. In the future, I'd love to see more of these--but maybe both normal contestants, so we get around the same skill level, OR the normal person gets to nominate a chef special guest to go head to head with Chef Ash? Either way, got to feel jealous of this channel's team for getting delicious food yet again. Good job yall!

The ramen noodles look like pre packaged , processed, al pastor was store bought.. Chef Ash should have won,, even safe , looked scratch made, she definitely knows how to plate, do a plate presentation.. I agree with others. It should be a series of chef ash vs.... and more of these type of people vs food type battles.

Buying the main component from a taco truck instead of cooking it yourself should have counted as instant disqualification.

I think the rules should have been: everything is made BY the chef. I don't think it's fair to use a protein part that you didn't make. How can you then call it a meal you made when....you just put the pieces together?
