  • @bobtuda

Because of his pitching knowledge and skills, Ohtani leverages them to improve his home run hitting. He has a special understanding that most batters do not possess. Furthermore, because of his batting knowledge and skills, he leverages them to improve his pitching ability. Hence, he has a special understanding that most pitchers do not possess. He has the best of both worlds! That is why he is so good at both pitching and batting. The synergism is awesome. The Dodgers owner and team manager desire to destroy that synergism. Synergism means the combined effect of two or more things (i.e., pitching, batting, base running, and fielding) is greater than the sum of the individual skills. To add to his greatness, he is also a superior base stealer and fields well while pitching. No wonder he is the best in a century since Babe Ruth. Shohei Ohtani could become the GOAT (Greatest of All Time) if the Dodgers owner and team manager do not curtail him from playing as a two-way player.

Ohtani has been a SuperHero since Mookie got hurt. I don't know how in the world he is doing what he's doing. Considering pitching is so much better than 20=30 years ago with velocity and movement. So lefties, righties, and he keeps Ohtanying the ball, and the stupid umps giving pitches constantly 2-3 inches low or outside with 2 strikes make hitting very very hard indeed.

Ohtani's endorsement $ has exceeded his salary long, long time ago but it became obviously high since end of 2021. Ohtani's Angels salary is 30m in 2023 but he earned about 65m from endorsement alone. And his endorsement this season has risen to 95m, next season Ohtani would definitely has far more endorsement $ because of his crazy popularity has created 25% and beyond of profits for companies contracted with him. It's not only earnings from sales alone, the company values and bonds prices rise immediately after signing with Ohtani and often times go up at least 5~10% right after news of signing Ohtani! Ohtani is an economy boost monster for sponsor companies which signed with Ohtani as well as new JP & JP sales related co. newly signed with Dodgers after April '24. Of course, huge tourism boomed for LA local economies too since signing with Ohtani.

Ohtani's HR not only went out fast & far, they looked majestic because they traveled a much higher orbit than most MLB HR including Judge's HR which usu went low and much slower in speed.
