The liner is the main reason I switched over tbh. It’s super sound proof and fits on the face and head nicely

Rf 1200 fits like a comfortable glove. Nothing needs to change

I actually bought another RF1200 instead of the 1400 because of that visor lock among some other reasons. Having it off to the side means I don’t have to obstruct my vision to open the visor. It’s also not hard to close, just lightly squeeze down from the top of the visor on the side and it locks into place. ✌️

I do have to say when i stopped and went to see helmets i already knew i was getting the sedici strada, but I was testing out the other helmets and holy shit the shoei liner was so smooth and comfortable. Cant wait to increase my budget and upgrade my gear.

I switched from a sedici strada to a shoei RF1400 and my lord is the comfort and ride experience something else. Before when I would get going fast my helmet would push into my face from the wind but the shoei just sliced thru the air I don’t even realize I’m wearing it sometimes and when I shop I never take it off cause I got my music playing so it’s a head turner have had multiple people ask me what brand helmet I wear

I still have my shoei X8. Love the puddings. So comfortable. I remember thinking about how soft it is when I crashed on my face.

X14 is a great helmet, I like mine very much!

The Shoei Helmets are literal works of art.. one day I’ll be able to afford one 😢

That lining is why people buy Shoei helmets. They'd be crazy to change it.

When I got my new helmet in august it came down to the x fourteen or the Corsair x. I wound up going with the Corsair x, and I’m glad I did, but those Marquez replica x fourteens are sick af!

I really enjoy my rf-1400. I popped the coin for the photocromatic face shield and doubt I’ll ever need to switch that setup.

I had an x12, then moved to the rf1200. Loved em both, but the 1200 is a better helmet. No plans to replace it, but I have changed out the interior padding all around. The rf1400 looks like a nice piece of kit, but I don't need it, and my wallet agrees! 😅

My HJC RPHA 11 has everything the new shoei 1400 has but also comes with a pinlock lens that you can install in either your tinted or clear visor that also comes in the box insted of paying an additional 100$ for another visor like shoei does. Its a great helmet for the price!

Nice, I prefer a transition visor on my 1400 so I don't have to swap them :)

I’ve got the xspirit and a Pista rr. I prefer the Shoei system… you don’t need to lock it, just push the visor all the way down with the palm of your hand. Also when wearing the Pista opening the visor with your gloves on you’re always fiddling with the unlock button because it’s kinda concealed.. the RF14 prob has the same issue.

I have the GT air 2. Love it, so comfortable.

They do need to update the liner… I tried on an Arai Corsair X AFTER I bought my RF-1400, if I had tried it on before I bought my SHOEI, I wouldn’t have bought the SHOEI, the Arai is just so much more comfortable!

The reason they’ve been using the liner since they started is because it’s been the leading helmet for wind canceling, why change something that’s already doing so perfect in the market.

I just bought Scorpion Exo R1 (the non carbon) and so far it’s wayyyyy better than my old AGV K3 SV. It’s lighter, quieter, more visibility out of the visor, and more comfortable

Got a GT air 2 after a LS2 challenger something. I'm not going back.

i have X11 and X14, they both feel some similar inside except the X14 is lighter these days... Goin to try the Carbon Helmets from the European brands soon, Shark, AGV, Nolan

Need to mention it has insane vision looking up which is only really useful at track. Terrible if your using it as a commuter helmet and need to block the sun shining into your eyes

I have a GT AIR, and I really fed up with the visor and fog insert. I have tried 3 different visor with 3 different fog insert, the pins are in the tightest position and still fogging. Why the hell they cannot do it properly on an expensive helmet? I will never buy anymore Shoei.

Its not apple, they dont need to rekease a new design every year. Be thankful these companies really dont, it means that a model from 4 or 5 years ago is basically the same as todays unless you want to spend $1,000

How to buy it

I wonder about the CO2 that stays in the Helmet. FortNine did a really great video measuring CO2 levels in helmets and how dangerous it can be. I really wonder how the CO2 levels are if you wear this helmet for like an hour.

They’ve been using the same chin curtain for over a decade. Fits in all their helmets, you can buy it on amazon

Where is the x15?

I don't have a round enough head for Shoei. Arai for me, which means the same recycled design for the last 20 years.
