For fast rides in cooler weather, I use a full size Schuberth C3 pro modular (aka flip up) helmet leftover from my motorcycling days. Its relatively light at ~1.5kg with extremely low wind noise & is very comfortable for my type of head. I've also had Arai's & Shoei's & have found the Shoei to fit me better as well. But I love the flip up feather of the Schuberth which makes it easy to take a drink without taking it off + the extra wind breeze it gives for cooling. For the summer heat, I use a Fox Racing V3 motorx helmet. Its no where close to as light nor as cooling as a MTB helmet but its give much better impact protection similar to motorcycle helmets.

I'm getting a Bell Moto-9 helmet. Stainless steel brackets and 5 year warranty...when most other only offer zinc coated steel brackets (known rust problem) and only a 1 year warranty. 💪🏻⛑⛑⛑⛑⛑⛑⛑⛑⛑⛑👍🏻

0:53 The O'Neil Backflip is a mountain bike (MTX) helmet. It feels cheap because it is cheap: new $80 or less. Of course it will not offer same protection as a helmet designed for motorcycle use. A good motorcycle helmet can still be light, the off-road racing ones are around 3lbs. For extreme speeds like what you and Alien Rides 👽 do, yes a full coverage motorcycle helmet is a necessity. That's advanced level. For beginners like me, a motorcycle helmet designed for off-road racing is more than enough. 💪🏻⛑⛑⛑⛑⛑⛑⛑⛑⛑⛑👍🏻

I find it annoying to have to keep taking off the glasses, wear helmet, put it on back, take off glasses, take off helmet, put on glasses back. especially when you're on a ride, particularly in an offroad trail when you don't really have anywhere to put the glasses on. this is a problem when in a warm and humid climate like Malaysia where it's hot to leave the helmet on, but troublesome to remove. my solution is to use a 2-in-1 helmet with lots of holes but i'd like to hear your thoughts on this too as a glass-wearing rider.

    1) If you're really hard-core into helmets you can get that inner drop down visor made to your eye prescription. 2) wear contact lens
