Its amazing how simple ogre2’s gameplay actually is. Not very much sprinting, sliding and jumping. Only using those mechanics when necessary and focused on aiming well as well as countering enemy movement and positions. Halo doesnt have to be hard and doesnt require crazy mechanical skill to perform well at. It shows with the evidence in toms gameplay.

hahaha i saw that too. and honestly i also thought it was a bad guy. i had the same reaction in my head as ogre2

new players could learn so much from watching players like ogre2. like fundamental fps positioning. example throwing a grenade into back glass to force the enemy player into an open position. or seeing an enemy about to chase you around a corner and you know they have to either jump or step off a ledge so you pre-nade the landing - if they wait, you go to full shield, if they pursue, they end up taking damage. just a million of these little things being done here that are just natural reactions by the goat.

It's called the Ogre twitch. I'm not sure if I'm getting wooshed here, but it's basically just to keep your thumbs busy (or warm) before an encounter :) to keep the senses sharp and all

Started from Halo 1 and it's done to recalibrate the reticule since it would drift. Became a habit for many that stayed especially for people that have been playing console FPSs since H1 even though there's no need to.

@@tmass1 While Infinite's aim assist may be lighter in relation to past Halo games, that observation barely excuses its obvious advantage over the 100% human reliance/user error of tracking with a mouse in this game. Though your implication attempts to downplay that fact, incontrovertible statistics and Pro-Player population between both inputs reinforce it. Anybody who plays both will tell you that using a mouse in Crossplay is like going on Hard Mode. Try it for yourself and see, I'll take take your advice and go easier on myself by dusting off the Scuf Impact that took me to the lighthouse over 250 times in Destiny - I promise you it will be easier than what I've endured with a mouse in the Crossplay que (couple wins away from Onyx, not too shabby for a Halo casual M&K nerd 😏) Snip3Down himself already put this argument to rest - there will never be a Halo pro on 🐁 for a reason - AA is too good - not as it stands alone, or unrelatedly in comparison to past Halo games, but against MICE. We have all seen the data from that Reddit post.
