Id keep debrusk he plays 2 way he can play on any line, both sides, has developed into a penalty killer and plays in the playoffs. But he's not Coyle type money I'd say 5 max

Let's not forget if a team in our conference like Buffalo or The Senators do lock Ulmark up for 5 or 6 years that could seriously come back to bite us in the ass! Both of those teams are a decent goaltender away from giving us some serious long-term headaches.

The 25th pick in THIS draft is equal to a high second round pick in a normal draft. So, let's add THAT to the calculation.

We know what Jake Debrusk is after all these years, he’s good but he’s not 6 million dollars good. Count me as someone who thought these Ottawa rumours were more than a bit high but a 2nd round pick in return is just insulting. Ian Mitchell is depth, Forbort and Grz are done here so we need someone to fill in for injuries.

Boston needs to get back in the draft, 1st or 2nd. Plus, Boston owes Ullmark 1mil, on June 30th if he's still with the team. So he will be gone by next Sunday. Debrusk is not worth 6 mil. Even though Monty wants him back.

So u would trade former vezina for horse shit naw , markstrom is average an got good returns. If offer isn't right. He plays lights out on contract year. An swayman getting paid. Only reason so good last year. Players play good on contract years. Once secured bag decline follows. An Ullmark is better than swayman east to west

Although we own his rights technically until July 1st, we don’t own Debrusk anymore he’s a UFA, we can’t throw him into any deal.

The second we let Jake DeBrusk go he will turn into an annual 40-goal, 100+ point scorer. Edmonton or Toronto should be heavily pursuing Jake because of the way he performs in those markets, especially Edmonton with that being his home city and his Dad working with the team. Six million a year is a great number for DeBrusk as I figured he would be holding out for $7.5 mil+. As far as him only performing in the playoffs is good enough for me. You know last year was probably going to be his worst performance of the remainder of his career, so how bad could he be? Let's not forget that Jake is all we have left to show for that horrific 2015 NHL Draft class after having consecutive picks #, 13, 14 & 15 with Zachary Senyshyn, Jakub Zboril & DeBrusk, and at number 16 The Islanders picked Mathew Barzal!😖 I do believe that we just gave the Columbus Bluejackets Jakup Zboril for Defenceman Andrew Peeke at the “2024” trade deadline… I’m still scratching my head over the decision. They groomed him for what? 8+ years just to trade him for some extra playoff defense that he should have been more than capable enough to provide. $$$$ is my guess. How much better was Andrew Peeke compared to Jakup Zboril? Columbus had all but given up on Peekejust as it seemed the B’s did with Zboril

I think they should trade him asap. U don't want to extend Swayman, than be forced to use Ully. You will have to play him. What if his stock drops because he's just having an off season? Swayman will get less games because u cant keep Ully on the bench. U have to keep him playing to be hot to deadline deal him. I'd do it now. They will 100% get a return for him. Chychrun is not to much to ask

A second round pick? If that's all then Sweeney who has already done very little justice to this team should be fired at the same time. We need a proven goal scorer or a proven two way D man for Ullmark that or a first rounder. As for DeBrusk I hope he gets resigned I've seen how much he wants to stay. We just need depth- that's the main thing.

They 100percent will regret it. Then all the naysayers will be wanting him back and won't be calling him streaky...nearly EVERY PLAYER WHO ISNT A SUPERSTAR is "streaky". Debrusk has insane hand eye, crazy speed, and can finish and make plays. They will certainly regret and miss his scoring if he leaves

I agree! Jake's a keeper. Gifted goal scorer, dedicated defender, fastest wheels on the team and money in the playoffs. Those terms sound reasonable.
