"Shocking Piece Of TV" Jeremy Kyle Talks Revelations In Sarah Everard Documentary

TalkToday talks about the detective who led the investigation into Sarah Everard’s murder telling the moment she was informed that chief suspect Wayne Couzens was a serving police officer.
Detective Chief Inspector Katherine Goodwin made the revelation as she spoke on camera for the first time in a new BBC documentary on the marketing executive’s murder.
Sarah Everard: The Search For Justice has been two and a half years in the making and will air on Tuesday evening on BBC One, days after the third anniversary of her death.
In the documentary, Miss Goodwin revealed the police discovered Couzens was suspected of an indecent exposure offence days earlier in Kent, before they found out he was a serving Metropolitan Police officer.
Jeremy says: "I had a caller tell me that if she felt unsafe walking alone in London that she would no longer call the police".

The Police service attract two kinds of people: those who care about society and want to do good; and those who simply like the idea of having power over others.

There's a LOT of narcissism in the police... Either the job calls to them or the service creates them...

plus a third... those who want an easy ride and can because they are in a 'club' . Ride out the service, do the bare minimum with maximum perks and walk away with a fat pension examples, LGBTQ, ex-military, freemasons, claiming to become injured and aren't, ethnic minorities or foreign take-ins who quickly make false racist complaints and manipulate the outcomes, and uni grads.

1999 a woman came to the police complaining about domestic abuse The police forced her to be alone in a room in the police station with her abusive husband, he murdered her in the police station, no one came to help her. Did anything change in 24 years? I think not.

Multiple times over 20 years the force as a whole ignored his offending and I struggle to see these good officers when no one dealt with him instead they supported him

I was a police officer for 28years spanning back from cadetship in 1974 to retirement in 2006. There has always been scandalous behaviour being committed by serving police officers throughout my experience, including the worst imaginable. The difference today is that women and others are feeling more empowered to report instances of occurrences when they happen. The police force is a thankless job but it is a job which is not made any easier by arseholes who abuse their position to take advantage of others. Personally I have never experienced any examples of these scandals close hand, but word travels fast amongst the rank and file of incidents occurring elsewhere. The reaction is always incredulity, shock and dismay

You should be more worried that the unfit for purpose police force enabled Wayne couzins to perpetrate this disgusting crime by missing numerous chances to stop him from 2000 onwards ,he was refused a job in the police 2 times before he sneaked his way into the nuclear police and got his hands on firearms ,you would like to think he was the exception to the rule and one bad apple but the statistics tell you that’s not the case .narcasists and phycopaths gravitate towards the police force and there needs to be massive reform .all the time you allow the police to police themselves you will continue to get these problems

There are many sociapathic types within the force...the job attracts them , they are not filtered out as these bullies and mavericks have thier uses as serving officers...and go ahead report them, they dont care as payouts to the public are payed for by the public including thier victims...this breeds a total lack of accountability in our police...

A friend of my family was married to a cop. He was VILE... He told her that she could disappear if he wanted her gone. He told her his "brother's" this was his work colleagues would not look for her if she "vanished" that they'd protect him. They (cops) know how to look for evidence so they also onew what to hide. They know how & where bodies can be hidden better. Then he added, if you ever try to leave me, you'll disappear and never be seen again... Because cops stand behind each other and always will... She did manage to leave him, but he used police resources to always find her. He's still stalked her and her new husband, she's had to take him to court a tonne of times and the police still don't draw a line through from each incident she files and drawn a bigger picture. They don't even see a connection with incidents falsley filed against her are all filed by him and she divorced him and filed anti harassment orders... The police literally do not see the pattern and gaslight her.

Again 95% of the Police take the rap for the minority. I think the "Police me too" org is not relevant here. This isn't an arrest gone aggressive or such. This is someone who stalked snd attacked people. His job is shocking, but not the reason he attacked. The "Me too" Woman is more interested in making the Police look bad and getting her face on film. I don't think this can be considered Police Brutality.
