Love it! Hubby and I watched LIV this weekend. New, exciting and far better golf entertainment than last weekend's PGA tour. We're even thinking of flying back east to watch a LIV tournament in person.

I like LIV tour golf. Love the shotgun starts and there is not a lot of downtime between shots! They go from one hole to the next as players are playing all over the course!

I truly get it, Justin said it best when it comes to trying to understand their situation. If your boss came to you and said “ hey Joe we want you to stop working so much at least by half or more, but we want to pay you double possibly triple of what you’ve been making” come on who in their right mind would turn it down😩😩🥴…. I hate it as a causal viewer, I don’t even watch anymore no clue who 3/4 of top PGA players are plus I’m a traditionalist hate the liv rules. But I get it….

@@GolfZoneYT it doesnt have the same feel as watching the pga to me. Im not really for or against it. Just that you know everyones been paid and you’re watching a bunch of guys play for fun, thats what it felt like. Also they show team scores on the side as well but to people looking at it without knowing how it works, you would definitely be confused looking down the standings at the side with all different team mascot’s and numbers lol

LIV if you have this much money make your own TV channel.

The PGA tours tv coverage is absolutely pathetic. They cover the same players every week and the majority of the field is completely ignored.

The Honda Classic highlighted what happens when the best golfers on tour decide to skip an event. Is it any wonder why the winner of the Honda Classic skipped the Rivera tournament. He wouldn’t have to compete with anyone in the top 25 in the world.

That’s been a problem with the PGA for years. You get MAYBE 10 events a year in which the top 25 players in the world are in the same field. They generally skip the events the week before and after a major. Same goes with The Players. You want to keep my eyes on the TV, give me the top players together in the same field more than a handful of times in a golfing season.

LIV is great. I like the shotgun start format can watch the round in less that 5 hours instead of all day for regular tour events.

The League has come a long way in a short space of time. I'm glad that the US PGA's monopoly of golf has been challenged.

agreed. The event in Adelaide, Australia has sold 65,000 tickets.... Alot of Australians are sick of the PGA's 'American centric' PGA Tour. Plus we love Cam Smith!

I am doubtful about the franchise model working well. The sports Greg Norman mentions are genuine team sports, golf is not. The LIV team formation adds a bit of extra interest, but it is only 15%. Whereas in real team sports the team is everything. They would have to devise some very interesting format that has not been tried yet to generate real team excitement.

@@davidmahady8241 the final was interesting I will admit that. It is the week to week tournaments that, while I find them interesting (I watch the highlights not live) the team part of it is just a bit irrelevant. But it is still finding it's way, and will no doubt change things here and their. They will find a way to add interest to the teams ongoing, and maybe find a way to improve the finish of each tournament, possibly by having a cut after 9 holes in the final round and the top so many, say 50%, tee of in groups from the first. As it is going to be broadcast live this would definitely be a more fitting climax.

So, LIV coughed up another billion $$ AND agreed to revenue sharing and we should all be shocked??? Money takes care of just about any biz deal you ever wanted to put together.

The travesty here is that golf is not so much a sport as a financial conglomerate. Golf is a closed union, not open to everyone. They can yell and brag all they want about charitable contributions, but the fact remains they do nothing to reach out to poor and less privileged communities. The only entry is through money and nepotism. Golf is about rich people connecting with other rich people. Period!

The PGA has nothing to fear. The broadcast is a tacky unwatchable farce. I did more than "Blink"…I moved on

It was positively ghastly. The quality of play stunk, the TV production amateurish at best, and the golf course had six par 5"s and no real rough. My living room rug was deeper than the rough. Let's give them a -4 score to start with and go from there. Bongos were being pounded on throughout the whole show. Guess they weren't lying when they called it, "Golf....only louder". And Mickelson didn't show up. Get you can't expect more from a $150 million salary.
