SHOCKING Dragon Age Dreadwolf Release Date REVEAL Update

Ойындар

Mark Darrah, the previous executive producer of Dragon Age Dreadwolf is now back in the midst. Though not as you would expect him to. He's now taking a council role where he'll make sure BioWare stays within what is respectful of the game's legacy and does it justice. What does this say about DAD release date? Even Mass Effect 4 is going to be affected by the outcome of Dreadwolf. So hopefully, this is good.

BioWare has put their future at risk, here’s why: kzread.info/dash/bejne/aZuDmqWzn9vOp6Q.html

I agree! I think it’s good news and I like how they’re taking their time but I wish they would release more information.

Agreed Katie! It would be cool to see more updates, though I get them keeping a low profile with their situation. Appreciate you for watching!

So glad they did away with the live service nonsense they were gonna attempt in DA4. I want a game more like Origins, but I doubt I'll get it. Still them bringing him in is a net positive in my opinion.

Completely agree with you, at least it’ll give them a sense of direction. To think they were smart enough to do so is hopefully a good sign of where the studio in general is at.

If they manage to get back to an 'Origins' type formula, I'm gonna fall in love with Dragon Age all over again. Holding breath now...time me.........

@@maybedrinkin3241 That's literally it right there. That formula. Imagine just how fucking easy it would be to bring the entire fanbase back. Also cut down on the open world crap. I would rather have thousands of well built quality boxed areas in the game than one giant poorly built and overly packed open world map. Open world burnout is real in games.

That's all well and good, so long as they bother to consult with him on issues and actually take what he has to say to heart. If they just put him on the payroll and then ignore or override him on everything that comes up, then it's EA doing business as usual and we're in for one hell of a bumpy ride with this game.

I agree with you! As I said in the video, this is great IF they actually take advantage of Mark as a tool. Otherwise yeah, it’s same bs as always.

They may be targeting a Dragon Age day release this year for 2023 if all goes well at Bioware. But knowing Bioware...I'd expect Spring 2024...

To be honest, I find it difficult to get excited or even happy by the rhetoric spewed by gaming companies these days. "Polishing" means essentially nothing to me given what we actually see of games when they are released. They often are broken messes filled with issues, both graphical and technical, that make gameplay challenging to say the least and frustrating to the hilt until a series of patches are released which just begs the question: what the hell were they doing during all those months when they were supposed to be polishing and making sure their game was ready for release? Yeah, this wording does not impress me in the least because we've seen it from nearly every single AAA game release for the past several years. Alpha also means the final product will likely be very different indeed from any leaked footage or information about the game. Why? Because that too has been true for nearly every single AAA game released in the past few years. Whether intentional or not, these leaked bits of information tend to show or demo bits and pieces of games that will rarely ever be playable by the consumer. Just as cinematic trailers offer an idealized version of what a game is purported to be on release, it rarely if ever actually reflects real gameplay, often showing areas or bits of quests that are not really in the game or renderings by artists other than those who worked on the game presenting their idea of what characters will look like in the final product and often missing the mark entirely. So far, what I've seen has not impressed me much. Alpha footage means nothing to me. No control over your companions doesn't really bother me as much as the God of War style combat. If I'd wanted to play GoW, I'd be playing GoW. The thing is I was never much for console gameplay and chaining attacks seems like such a cheap way to play a game. Story matters a great deal to me and I'd prefer the focus to be placed there instead. But combat, if it is extremely annoying will supersede any desire on my part to even bother playing at all. Glad to see multiplayer get removed. DA is not the type of game for that nonsense. Live service gaming will die of its own accord and I'm happy to see it already vanishing from several games. I just want to be able to play the game without excessively long loading times, frequent crashes, bugs and glitches. I'd like to know that every single codex that was meant to be in the game is actually IN the game instead of missing in action. I'd like consistency in the writing and lore throughout the story. I'd like not to cringe at embarrassing sexual innuendo made by companions during the game that makes playing cringe-worthy. Sex has its place in the world and it really isn't in the middle of a stupid RPG. Let's just have a decent, fun game that doesn't collapse under its desire to be all things to all people of the world all at once and fail utterly and miserably because it can't decide what the hell it truly wants to be when it grows up. Sera and Iron Bull, I'm looking at you both. What's fun one moment becomes awkward and downright painful the next. It's amazing what Sera can get away with her "jokes" just because she's a lesbian that no straight man ever could without getting immediately canceled. And Iron Bull is so outspoken about his sexuality that it borders on sexism to the extreme. They're the sort of comments that are forgivable in private conversations between friends or lovers but are woefully inappropriate in public but that just seems to egg him on all the more which I find offensive. And no, I'm not a prude. There's just a time and place and it isn't always whenever the hell you want just because. Sera uses that sort of logic and it just brands her as immature and problematic. I've taken to simply not recruiting either character anymore in my runs of DAI because I don't feel the need to make myself feel uncomfortable while playing a game I enjoy. Take a page from the past and learn from mistakes. Not everything in the world needs to revolve around sex, particularly when the people involved in the activity generally are immature or driven by some personal agenda to show the world that yes, they are indeed solely made up of their sexuality and nothing else matters, despite their arguments to the contrary. I'm all for live and let live but how about the rest of us? You know, the actual majority? When the hell did we lose our collective voice in the world?

I feel like there’s also a bit to be talked about regarding who the audience is. I don’t take MANY things personal (even jokes that aren’t exactly feminist), because I’m just that kind of person. There is a double standard in society in general with a lot of things that both men and women experience. I do however feel that in the game, you kind of are having private conversations with them or are always in the presence of people they are constantly around and risking their lives for. The reality is that in the real world, there are a lot of people like that. Straight, bi, gay, whatever, there’s always those people who start almost humping eachother in public. There’s also the kind of people who their lives revolve around how manly they are, or how gay they are, or x y or z. Just like in real life, there are people who you’re gonna find annoying and too much, and someone else might like them. I try to see it that way, and don’t let it affect my playthrough because I know that there is someone out there who probably likes people like that, and it’s their problem. But I do understand your point, and it’s valid that you may not want to experience that at all in your playthroughs. In terms of the gaming industry at large, obviously we’ve all seen AAA mean nothing anymore. I’m not a pre-order type gal in general with few exceptions. You can get a steaming pile of feces for $60-70 nowadays which is absurd. I really hope BioWare manages to release a good game and actually again, take advantage of Mark’s wisdom to make the game something we all waited for. Thanks for the comments man, really appreciate seeing someone who takes the time to be respectful yet clear with their opinions.
