Amazing how motherboards have changed so quickly from my b450 roq purchase 3yrs ago. Tons of m.2 storage all thermal protected, lovely mb design and now mustard audio cables finally out of sight lol Maybe prices fallen bcus adoption of this design not been as initially hoped. yeah for sure the original price of this was insane, the price drops are going to happen there is a large backlash against ASUS at the moment and Intel are losing the battle so with this being a end of life platform in the coming months and the backlash, something has to give, and it looks like the prices are starting to tumble. and if asus actually deliver on their RMA promises then it could prove to be actually a good investment

@@mikesunboxing Crazy to think Asus lets this happen as clearly handicaps their market share. 2bf watching MSI and Asus B550I's on ebay but MSI tend to have usb C ports as std unless its a ROG mb. Thanks Mike for the overview.

Good review Mike.l have had ASUS boards in the past and never had a problem with them;but my last few boards have been MSi and l will never consider using any other make.Apart from that,l can’t say l’m a fan of these back to front boards.Thank you for sharing your thoughts 👏⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Being ASUS and cheap raises deep concerns. ASUS customer support and RMA is at best questionable. Cheap until you factor in a new case for the new format.

Yes they have a few cases already made for it and lots more on the way.

Just replaced my Asus X670e TUF with an Asrock board. It has a problem with a broken USB front connector socket on the board the small type socket. The board was dead when I plugged it in. Disconnect it and it boots. Also it has a dreadful long on and off first boot with the memory training I guess. Asrock board doesn't seem to do that so iam much happier.

Given all the connections on the back it would be nice if there were some way of hiding the cpu cooler cable, very nice looking board though.

yeah that is something to think about for sure. I will say after completing the build with this board i am very pleased with the results and the pump aio cables were actually pretty easy to hide away

Very nice looking board. Too bad it's not MSI 😁 Going forward... I will continue to use the contact frames. Never had any problems with them. I'm currently using them with my G6900 Celeron and i7-12700k. No issues. Thanks for sharing info on new board designs. Take care all. Cheers

I was about to buy a motherboard and gpu combo from asus, but then i saw the Gamers Nexus, JayzTwoCents and Tech Notice videos on asus. What a shame, i really liked my old ROG system.

@@mikesunboxing I really hope they do, nothing better than having a lot of competition in the market. But for now it's Gigabyte for me, i just bought the B650 AORUS ELITE AX V2 after watching your review of it.

So smaller cases need a back to front mobo. I still haven't found a case that will fit my 4090 with the corsair icue water cooler.

never been there to be honest but i would think from the reports on the TV that it is a main area for immigration so it might suffer from the problems associated with that

In no ones world is +£200 a cheap mobo. latest generation mobo's are an increasing cash grab from manufacturers. Companies have used 'lockdown' as a cash grab when in truth almost all companies are showing record profits on there books.
