Okay, so that stayed up too. I did just remember something else I said. No biggie if nobody reads this. It’s more about trying to figure out why my original comment wasn’t put up. I did say that Magne and Pål are pretty active on Instagram and with Morten, there has been crickets 🦗🦗🦗🦗🦗🦗🦗🦗🦗😂 That I got a vibe from him with the last interviews I saw him in as well as the last tour, he didn’t seem into it and it felt like he was done or tired. That it felt like he needed a long break or wasn’t coming back. Perhaps I was right somehow? 🤔It’s all good though. I totally understand and he should do what he wants, no doubt. I also said that I have been looking at and reading some of Magne’s art book. My boyfriend picked it up and he said “What the heck is this crazy heavy book?” I told him and he laughed and said “Still working on that PHD for a-ha, are we?” 😂😂 Okay, truly I believe that is all I said. Now will this disappear? If not,yep, I am very confused. Unless they thought it was too long? Ah as I talk to myself. Hee hee…sorry, it’s bugging me. 😂

Thank you for taking a second look at Against The Sun, though you didn't have to (but I understand your reasons and appreciate them 🤗). Like I said before, it is very far from their best, though I don't dislike it as much as Graham. 😁 I still find the melody in the verses ok, and I don't get what you mean about the "journey" line... 🤔 Maybe one day I will. 😉 It can be that I also found it somewhat weird in the beginning and just got used to it. I remember it was a bit hard to cope with Lauren's voice until I got more used to it (here and elsewhere) 🤷‍♀ She doesn't hurt my ears, but it's also not one where she sounds best. I didn't realise at first what the song was about, but I thought it was cute when I realised they were singing about their unborn son's heartbeat ("just a little heartbeat going bleep bleep on a screen"). And, as I tend to pay more attention to lyrics when listening with you, there were lines that made more sense now, like "The journey that you started on had just begun". It's so obvious, but I had never thought of Augie as a baby, starting his journey through life. 😊 Ha, I truly don't pay attention to lyrics, in general. I like it when they suddenly "hit me". Now, Five Million Years is umdoubtedly a much better and engaging song than the previous one, but it's not one of my favourites either. Anyway, I was reminded today of some moments I really enjoy, like that great rocking opening! 😎 Those guitars that reminded you (and me) of Smashing Pumpkins, awesome! 👍 But then something always lets me down in the verses. I would rather only listen to the rocking parts. 😁 It's funny that it also references their newborn son ("Luchie puts her sleepy son to bed" / She's landing kisses on her newborn babie's head" - Luchie being Lauren's pet name). They just couldn't keep their domestic bliss out of their artistic life, of course. 😉 There's a couple of lines that always stood out for me and that I always loved: "Driving to a shopping mall / No need to buy, we have it all". Love that sentiment. ❤ I don't think you got the "timeline" completely right, but I am too tired now to try to explain. 😴 Ask me later! 😉 P. S. I saw that (13:36). 😊

Ha, yes, though as we talked about, odd of Savoy to call the song "Five Million Years" when the lyrics actually refer to a 100-million year span of time. Anyway, those distorted guitars are quite tasty. And yes, that look was indeed directed and purposeful. 😘☺

Okay, so Matt, I was saying that yes, you definitely seem back to normal here. It makes sense that you were tired and sick, no doubt. You were honest here, like you always are, so of course that's fine. I am on the same page that I am not a big fan of "Against the Sun" myself. It does sound like it needs more work. The "Bleep Bleep" totally makes me laugh. I get the sentiment though and that is very sweet. It is interesting for "Five Million Years" is also sentimental and personal, but it's well, five million times better to me. 😂 The music is killer, man! I really like that. I was doing a slight head bang to it as well. 👍😁Oh so where is our Majorie? We haven't seen her in a while? Hope you're doing okay.

Just something that occurred to me and I might as well add it here under Shell's comment. But I'm sort of reminded musically of "Less than Pure" when I listen to "Five Million Years". Not so much the tone or theme, but that buzzing guitar is something I really love. It's one of my favorite Paul "things".

Okay, let's put this comment by itself for I am curious if what I am going to say is why my original comment wasn't posted. I am on Instagram now, just in case anyone wants to connect that way. Of course I am following Magne, Pål, and Morten as well as a bunch of other musicians and comedians I like. I don't plan on posting anything there. It's just so I can keep up with tours and any work coming out from any of them easier. Also again too so I can message people. Let's see if this stays up. If it does, I am completely clueless why the original one came down then.

I am never much over there and it's been many weeks I haven't been at all, but one of these days I will. 🤪 I haven't checked much about a-ha (amd related) news lately, so keep us posted if you know anything. 😁

It seems I am not hard to find for Graham found me very quickly. 😋 Well gosh, that is scary for ME to be the one who keeps up with the latest news, but will try. As of now, Pål’s been posting lots of artsy but quite cool photos and Magne posted a joke about how important it is to use capital letters correctly in a sentence. I have seen this joke few years ago, but hey, it still made me giggle. Nothing terribly exciting like a tour, new music, etc, but cool to see. If something exciting pops up, I will say something. I am looking forward to seeing what Magne’s album will be like.👍🏼 😁 It is nice to see you too busy to be too much into a-ha. I do imagine part of this busy stuff is because of a certain person. Being able to give him attention over a-ha is very cool. 😁🩷

Paul generally posts the same pictures on FB, but Magne usually doesn't, so I haven’t yet seen his joke. Will check it out one of these days, when I have time. 😁 And yes, you're correct, it's a certain person that's keeping me super busy. 🥰 Hey, did you miss Bridges yesterday? Honestly, I'd never heard that song "Against the Sun" before. I thought it was brilliant 🙃 Yeah, I'll give it this - the little synth (?) element that you called out is really nice. The chorus is just toilet and the "bleep bleep" is an aberration. They could have just used some electronics to put in the bleep part instead of Lauren sounding like a goof. I certainly regret making my "MRI" statement as it caused an international incident from the west coast to Portugal. But this is definitely the worst Savoy song I'd say, and it's not even close! On to the next one. I do like this song. It's not as strong as most of the album but it's a decent low-key alternative track with a cool guitar grunt - you referenced Smashing Pumpkins which sounds about right. I do like that part. We are getting the references to his new born again, and that's fine. Artists can write what they want and Paul generally doesn't do it in an overwrought or self-indulgent way (bar the much-documented misstep above 😃). A cool track and not one I would skip.

Hahaha, excellent review of Against The Sun. You could have given the script to Matt last week! 😅 I can't tell you what the worst Savoy song is to me, but I am sure I wouldn't name this one. "An international incident from the west coast to Portugal"! 😂🤣 It was memorable, indeed, but you can't take all the credit for it. 😉 😁

Maybe a tiny tiny part, but it was mostly Matt was under the weather and tired. He should have taken the day off and rested. I will agree with you about "Against the Sun". I feel like it might be the worst one I have heard as well. At least I can't remember any other songs, so I think that is a sign that I do think it's the worst one as well. I agree with you about "Five Million Years" too.
