Okay but my teacher took 4 weeks to explain what you just did in 15 mins and your explanation was the best

As someone who has just finished first year of sixth form I'm trying to understand first two topics for each subject by the time I go back to school to give me a leg up. Found the video very useful 😃
Ah this was explained so well and it really helped me a lot !
Beautifully explained, especially with the visuals. Learned more in 16 and a half minutes than 2 weeks with my physics professor.

How do we calculate when that PENDULUM comes to a full stop at an angle of 20 degrees in air?
Not saying this will work for every single person but after I do my revision I watch this video right after or the next day to cement my knowledge
Which playlist can I find this video?
Your explanations were perfect. Thanks so much.
Thank you so much
Hi Mr Rees. Are you aware whether we need to know the bi-variate graphs for SHM? Like the elliptical/circular graph for velocity against displacement? I’m studying for AQA
at 16:00 ... the point where both parabolas (Kinetic energy and potential energy) meet; does that point mean anything other than Ek = Ep?
this video was really helpful
Thank you!!!!

10:24 where u have x= Acos(3pift) shouldn’t it be sin instead of cos?
@busyinverse4300
2 жыл бұрын
As the pendulum is released from max amplitude at second 0, it matches cos graph and therefore cos is used
i dont get question 5 where did 2 come from ?
At 7.43 why is velocity negative/
at 11:59 , when you create a formula for the tension, isnt the tension the centripetal force in this situation, so shouldnt the equation be T = mv^2/r => mg = mv^2/r ?
@lexanris
Жыл бұрын
Centripetal force is actually known as the net force of all the forces acting that causes the object to move in circular motion. So Fc=Tension-mg And tension=Fc+mg
I know I may not get a reply but. Why did you start the displacement from equilibrium then up to the max displacement rather than Start from Max displacement since the object is moving from rest
@ScienceShorts

Because we can start timing at any point after we've let it go. But yes, I wish I had done a cos wave instead.

6:14 why is it a sine wave? Surely it’s a cosine wave because cosine wave starts at 1 whereas sine wave starts at 0..??
@namename3130
2 жыл бұрын
A sin wave in maths does technically start at 0 but cos is just sin + 90 so people call that family of oscilation graphs, sin waves, as they are always a translation of a sin graph.

IF the mass is at equilibrium.[at rest]....wouldn't it velocity be equal to zero...thus the Kinetic energy will be zero at equilibrium..... As such k.E is an integer when the mass is moving in motion either going to the left or right...?
