I say more the fact that he even reached for it in the first place was his demise Remember gilgamesh always saves Ea for last due to his pride. In his eyes, fighting Ea is a privilege therefore he only saves it against individuals he respects. Shirou being low class mage wasn't worth even using gils divine weapons but despite that shirou was giving him problems So in the end, him reaching for Ea was a very poetic way of saying he lost

⁠@@JOBSLOV2him hesitating to grab EA at the end is what truly sealed his loss. Had he not hesitated when he summoned it he likely could have blocked that attack then finished the fight.

Yeah archer was really camping. He went into spirit form just before getting slammed with GoB swords spam. Remember Gil isn't this holy grail war summoned servant, he can't see servants in spirit form. Then archer went to the forest and uh kept surviving by feeding on mana from some creatures just to show up again during the Gil v Shirou fight.

Archer was actually hit by the weapons, he just survived and recovered. Gilgamesh can still see spirit form servants, Emiya just slipped into the ground when Gilgamesh wasn't paying attention.

archer faking his death using the smoke of the explosion just to steal the kill from shirou is amazing. man wouldn't let shirou get ONE dub. well i mean its technicaly not stealing the kill because they're the same person.

Heartbreaking 🥲

In the fight, Gilgamesh lost because he hesitated to use ea the weapon, shiro said he couldn't copy. Supposedly it's because he didn't want to use it on someone so insignificant but he was pushed into a corner. Because of this hesitation his arm was cut of before he could use ea. Now then Spoilers for a different fate series In a different series (the magical girl one) when shiro faced off against someone using gilgamesh's power because they don't have the same personality as gilgamesh they never hesitated to use ea against shiro to clap his ass.

In reality the key difference was Shirou couldn't lock that other person down in melee like Gilgamesh (VN) due to their magic.

Only Shirou call Rin as a Tohsaka. That's why Archer at the end episode, call Rin as a "Tohsaka". Why Archer still alive? Because skill class Archer, independent action rank B, when he's saint graph sustain a lethal damage, he can survive for a short period. When Shirou chanting UBW in Japanese, he protectet by Rho Aias Archer, know different rho aias, Archer Rho Aias have 7 petals and Shirou Rho Aias have 4 petals.

I think in the previous video he said he wanted to see more of Gilgamesh when he was a king. You can do that by watching Fate Grand Order Demonic Front Babylonia. It has the same voice actor for Gilgamesh and it will show a different side of him. It also features Rin as Ishtar (same voice actress too).

If you do start with Gilgamesh & karna you would love their origin if you don't want spoilers skip Gilgamesh one because Gilgamesh origin is a spoiler of "fate grand order Babylon"

If you ever watch heaven's feel, I recommend you watch fate/kalleid liner prisma illya - oath under snow. not even the main series, just that movie...

@@CrypticBoss all I'll say about the climax of that movie, is it'll give you ubw vibes with the flavor of heaven's feel as well as, at least in my opinion, the most badass version of shirou...

To be honest it feel like gilgamesh got a huge nerf consider from other fate (Fate/GO, Fate Zero)

He is, in F/SN his ego is really big because he Thinks the other human are very inferior than he expected. While at F/Z he is still on base, haven't learn about the modern society that much. And Then in FGO, he is There to save the humanity, ofc he Will do his best(as little as he can anyway.)

I just want to try my shot. So, if you want more from fate franchise, check out the 2006 Fate/Stay Night by studio deen. It's cover another route of the story that focused on Saber. So if you want to see the conclusion for Saber story check that out. A warning that the animation will be very differ from the one by UfoTable.
