And they have already worked with Miura on Berserk and hinted that they might be finishing the series. Maybe. They have Miura's approval to work with his epic and coming from perfectionist that's no small merit.

We lost another good one today, may Kentaro Miura rest in peace. It was at least comforting that the last chapter he put out was one of the more lighthearted ones down in Elfheim. For a dark and grim story and setting, at least it felt as though he died happy.

Or whenever overpowered characters show up throw all that out the proverbial window and let the course of entire battles be decided by epic duals between said overpowered characters and relegating the armies into being a spectating crowd of slack jawed, irrelevant, weaklings. Shiro Sagisu did Berserk and Bleach’s soundtracks incredibly well done, both series have one of the best and unique soundtracks in anime.

Miura didn't had kids but raised Milions instead

I always get kinda sad listening to golden age music. When the golden age came to an end there were two paths for this manga. Take the common road, end the series with a happy ending, with mystery as to what this "egg of the king" is, the band of the hawk becoming knights and Griffith eventually becoming king. Or take the path less traveled, have the most likeable character go through absolute hell, then when given a chance to regain all he lost and more, but the price is all of his friends, have him take it, the most likeable character has now become a villain but hey, he can be redeemed right? As the new villain is reborn he rapes the leading female character. All hope of redemption has now been lost. The series has now become one of a kind. A dark fantasy world revolving around a single mans quest to get his lover back, and then seek revenge for the man, who was once his greatest friend, that ruined his life and violated his woman. Although I like to think what may have been had Guts not left, had Griffith not slept with the princess, had he been executed and not tortured, had he rejected the god hands offer, I'm sort of happy it took the direction it did. Good vs. Evil is not a thing here, instead it's someone with their owns personal goals vs. some with their own personal goals. I love this series, the best action manga ever hands down

There's just something so contrast between the lyrics and the melody itself. The lyrics described plunder and pillage, something that's considered as 'evil' in nature. The melody, however, is like a majestic calling of glory, like soldiers of divine origins coming down to 'help' humans. If we take a look back to the manga, this is exactly what Griffith's doing with his new world order. Soldiers of evil origin fighting for a 'good' cause, led by Griffith.

I want this in the new Anime for Guts vs. Zodd ! So perfect!!
