What I love about Louis is he just asks questions that seem innocent, but get to the route of somebody's belief system. He never passes judgement verbally, but allows the speaker to talk themselves through their own belief, in this case hanging themselves with their words. Louis conducts interviews very similarly to the Socratic method.

And once they leave they are media heros having fled from indoctrination.. and they easily can make a dime off of that... Also it's interesting for party small talk. I've grown up in a loony cult myself, and it was very instructive. Any kid losing their parents at a really age or having alcoholics as parents could have it far worse.

The Law of Moses did not just contain 10 commandments. There were hundreds. Here's one: *“Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable."* (Leviticus 18:22). Of course, Christians are not under the Law of Moses but God's ways do not change. Hence, we have the command to Christians: *"Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men... will inherit the kingdom of God."* (1 Corinthians 6:9-11).

You are judging them by saying that. We are all judged and we all judge by necessity...and God in fact commands us to judge people, actions and relationships by God's laws...God didn't command us to submit to straying desires, societal misguided fashions and just integrate with a corrupt society. The prophets were sent to change people's beliefs, actions and relationships...not to fit in with the corruption. 'Judge not lest you be judged' is not an absolute....rather it falls into the general by which the specific is intended/applied. Society needs law and order and thus disputes are settled by judgement as are infringements of the law. If you strip away Divine Law...then society still needs organization, limits and laws...so then it will turn into man-made law and people will still be judged by it, as they are. But this is related to the deviation of Paul who told people to abandon Divine Law (contrary to the command of Jesus who commanded people to obey it, but even Paul clearly opposed homosexuality) and yet submit to the laws of the Roman polytheist occupiers! Utterly ridiculous and a clear violation of monotheism, prophetic message and Scripture.

Everyone uses this scripture incorrectly. It sounds simple but it actually has a serious legal connotation connection the manners of judgement. We are to judge in accordance with moral principles, Christian moral principles or bluntly God's principles and not judge by our subjective standards. Read closer into this and you'll find Jesus rebuked the Pharisees for making their own additions to God's laws whilst dismissing others entirely. Read closer. There is a right way and a wrong way and that also concerns own's position. Certain judgments are only given to be made by certain persons by authority, not everyone can just judge. Everything lies in the detail.

Wrong, God commanded people to judge actions, beliefs, people and relationships by his laws. And it isn't about speaking for Christians it is about speaking truth, judging with justice and submitting all opinions on all matters to Divine Law. Man-made law, man-made philosophy, ideology and culture is the root of all evil and oppression in the world. God doesn't love everyone, he hates most people because of their disbelief, polytheism, atheism, sins, corruption etc...And God commanded us to love and hate based on his criteria, laws and guidance...not our own emotions and opinions wrongly adopted from a corrupt government, society, media and mis-education system.

@@fennecfox9490 it's all very well to say that no one should be forced to agree with God's supposed opinion on homosexuality, and to claim that his opinion doesn't mean people should hate actual, real homosexuals. But in fact people have been forced to agree with God on this point, to the extent of being hanged or burnt at the stake, and not all that long ago, either. And even today gay people are executed, or sent to prison, or forced to undergo various barbaric methods of so-called "treatment". And all because of a few lines in a book written centuries ago. To just brush all this off with a statement like, "well it says so in the bible" is unspeakable. The bible was written by human beings, and human beings can be filled with hate and bigotry that should not be treated with reverence and allowed to continue to influence people for thousands of years, as those ugly quotes have done.

  • @fennecfox9490

@@janetkizer5956 The unspeakable things that people have done over the years, and even continue to do, actually go against the message that Jesus preaches in the Bible. And the Bible is the Word of God. Anyone can take a verse from the Bible and use it to justify awful acts of hatred and oppression that God hates. And that was what I was saying in my original post, that God does not hate the homosexual, and disapproves of vile acts of aggression that so-called Christians perpetrate upon folks that do not obey God's law. Romans does talk about homosexuality as something that God does not condone. And of course not all people are going to take that to heart. But the fault is with the people who claim to love God and continue to abuse those they disagree with, not with the Word of God. And that was what I was talking about in my original post.
