Just give us a little fishing raft anyone can craft with some wood and metals. No need to go all Sea of Thieves that takes far to long, patches every 4-6 weeks is the way forward.

They better not even think about ships and how they are going to implement naval super powers to beat the ocean waterfall before Thievery is put in... 🤣

Look what Darkfall did with ships and combat.

I dont think people understand what adding ships to a game like this means. like, all games that have ships that can be driven and have sea mechanics are literally stand alone focusing completely on ships and water mechanics. Starvault can barely handle one single game, it's impossible for them to handle two games in one. Any ship they add would be something like a house that you can move, and nothing more. There would be no waves mechanics, no wind mechanics, they already said ships won't have canons etc... ships are going to be just that, a house that moves very slowly through water, It's impossible for them to do anything else. What features would such a ship bring? the ability to fish from your house, maybe adding some underwater ruins or wrecks for people to dive out far in the sea that give more resources than what the game already has, and the ability to move from one continent to another without having to cross a bridge. The ships that henrick is talking about are not going to be anything impressive.

10/10 standing in a static longboat in UE. Ive never played Sea of Thieves but when henrik said they will have a better ship system than that..... did a single person believe that ever? Surely even he didn't? At this point a cinder block would be better at PR.

They first need to make water actually look like water instead of a mirror.

ships would bring in a bunch of people and if ships don't come anytime soon then well the game will be missing out on a bunch of players that will not give a shit about mortal with out ships and the game will be lacking hardcore as it is even know. like fucking hell i have a guild that i am building for ship and water content and when i tell people that ships might take some time they are like ok let me know when ships are out until then other games to play. that also goes for other play styles like thievery and bard and just other ways to play mortal in general already was trying to help 2 noobs and they were lied to that there was a rogue game play style and once they found out thievery and other ways to play mortal other then basic melee, basic, mage, mounted, and taming they were like ah well fuck mortal.

Third party team (so not the same company) is working on it using the same tech they develop and probably a fair bit of assets as well. It's nowhere close either just something being worked on. It may not end up ever coming out even.

too much cope while henrik calls players cheaters in the game without banning them and letting players that cheat play. look at alexblaine... allowed to play after hacking and probably still hacking
