That was great driving by the container delivery guy. Having driven over 2 million miles over North America with 12 years of that being pickup and delivery, I can totally understand what he went through to get the job done. Most people don't understand that trailers backing up respond differently than pulling forward and in this case with the extremely tight road and corners, he did pretty good. Thank God, it wasn't raining or snowing while this was going on.

I love the sound of an earlier Powerstroke working. This one sounds like my 2001 7.3 nothing fazed it. With the 6 speed there was always another gear. 266,000 miles and all it ever needed was 2 batteries an alternator and a clutch. This driver should have walked the drop site before getting to it.

So they looked into other options and had worked out a deal with a local wrecker place with a 20' tilt bed. I've had it just over two months so no condensation but it will get hot as an oven on a day in the low 80's which we've recently had.

Time to mount a trailer ball on the top of your tractor bucket. You could of unpinned his trailer and turned it around for him with the tractor then repinned. You'll never run out of uses for a 2" ball on the bucket for moving gooseneck and bumper hitch trailers around in tight spaces.

We have a container for storage for our clubs gear and yes as Mr Sullivan below says put vents in it to stop condensation with mesh under the vent holes to stop bugs and wasps getting in. Scott, that was interesting to watch. I feel like the driver did a pretty good job getting that large container into the spot you prepared, and most comments seem to agree. But a few, as usual, were critical. You had said in a previous video that you had laid out and cleared the area so that it should not be too difficult to back it in. Since a 40-ft container is probably 8,000-9,000 lbs, and the delivery was made with a Ford pickup, don't you think he did pretty good? Your property does offer a few challenges for delivery trucks (or visiting buses)... 😏

At a Tare weight of 8,200 lbs, that container is heavy. No wonder that truck was straining to move and laboring up the hill. I'm surprised it slid off of the trailer with just the back end resting on the 4 x 4. Quite a set up that delivery guy's company has. Talk about a strong 5th wheel hitch. As tall as it was, it took a lot of bending moment pulling and pushing that trailer over uneven ground. What a stark contrast to the HOA back in Avon. Here you are free to do as you please and enjoy life.

Make the turn wider on your driveway. I had a similar problem with my site. The road coming in wasn't paved around the last turn. It is a public road, the owner of the lot wouldn't allow the state to pave his frontage. It was a long time feud. Once passed his land it is paved again! I had a delivery of 76 ft trusses. Over 100ft with truck and trailer. I had a crane standing by to help the trailer arou d that last turn. Make that turn wider, you own the land. We shall see if the state will pave it now. The owner that held the grudge with the state has passed away and I now have a pond with a dry hydrant for the local fire department. Can't wait to see the look on the fire truck driver's face the first time he comes around that turn.😀

The shipping container is a modern day version of a 44 gallon drum. Can be reused but has a limit of times Gets soiled and can’t be used for certain items Sold for alternate use eg storage or modified for housing. 44 gallon drum may be dog house used oil But if top and bottom cut off and side cut an flattened For sheets nailed to timber as wall sheathing and roof sheets put though a corrugated roller. The sheets would equal out to be eight feet long. Sometimes if container to old for a high grade product return to expensive to return empty. This is not happening today but tradition building product for NZ is corrugated Iron is used allot. Called now any length , long run iron.

Coulda used that Kubota to pick up the back end of the trailer and help turn it around...

EXACTLY my thoughts on this ... Scott could have been a BIG help with the Kubota "steering" the rear of the trailer around the curve. The videos are great (leave them up to Kelly) but Scott needed to "pitch-in" with this difficult situation rather than being a spectator. He's usually a nice guy with good common sense, but missed an opportunity here.

If this is a semi-permanent installation you need some concrete foundation posts, not the bits of timber it is supported on, which will rot out. Also, the underside of the container needs a barrier to vegetation growth, which will create moisture in the ply flooring, causing it to rot and that is notwithstanding that the underside of the container will provide an excellent habitat for vermin.
