Every so often we have the opportunity to work with our manufacturing partners and offer special instruments at special prices, for example when they have demo-stock instruments (instruments that have been played at shows, have small cosmetic blemishes etc.). We recently partnered with Bach Brass on bringing in some demo-stock trombones and among them were 42BOs without cases (due to production/supply issues.) I was so intrigued to see how they shipped their trombones minus cases that I wanted to share the unboxing!
I was impressed with the quality and care with the packing (and the trombone!) Let us know what you think in the comments!

I always wanted access to all the demo horns - like a candy store. Did you make it out to ITF in AR? DCI in Indy next week. Lot of hot trombone players out there. I know it's not your thing, but if you can find it, check out what the Boston Crusaders do with "Can't Keep My Eyes Off of You" featuring a big trombone soli. Pretty neat. (Yamahas).

A good technician should be able to address that minor denting issue. All that would need to be done then is to acquire an inexpensive lightweight Protec case, & you're good to go (Bach was never really known for its cases anyways, its fame came from its horns). George, Canada

It's great to have a video like this to explain to viewers how deep discounts can be found in demo/defect instruments. It will be interesting to see what the discount will be on this particular Bach 42.

Will wearing braces affect my playing?

You should be able to play fine with braces, but there'll be a period of adjusting as your embouchure gets accustomed to the new teeth positioning.

We do as it happens! I haven’t gotten a video done yet but it is a very unique instrument (and one of my favorites in the shop at the moment!). Let me know if I can provide any additional insight or help!

@@SchmittMusicTromboneShop How would you compare it to the Q-Alessi trombone? I am currently using the Alessi with the standard mouthpiece that comes with shires?, any major differences in terms of response?
