A useful tip when hunting a shiny that is hard to notice. Only 15 Pokemon spawn in your immediate area. Unless a shiny spawns, and then there can be 16.

I got 5 shinies without the shiny charm, Toedscool, Oricorio, Spidops, Vaporeon, and Pyroar. I hunted the Vaporeon, partially, thanks to an outbreak. The rest were random. My sixth shiny was post shiny sharm, while I was leveling up some pokemon in socarat trail (the autumn forrest by cassoroya lake) and was a shiny female heracross I named Hera.

@@nyxzies if you can get a mass outbreak of vaporeon it could be pretty easy, they like to run away and if they run far enough they'll despawn without you ever defeating them. Sorta like the picnic spawn reset, and much more efficient because the moment they see you they run, and thus you dont have to play around with the picnic and the 'raidons. Also only 16 Pokémon will be on screen at any given time, except in the case there's a shiny, which will leave 17 on screen. Hope this helps with your next shiny hunt!
