Dear 엠프리오 아르마니, 신세계 인터내셔날, 신세계백화점 I bought a Mani suit back in the States which is now Emporio Armani. If I remember correctly, I paid over $1,000 for the suit. I wore the suit just once because I had many suits and the Mani suit was kind of big on me. I went to the Emporio Armani store in Korea to get the suit altered instead of getting it altered at some other shop in Korea because my suit is from the same brand store, and I expected that the customer service would be the same or similar to what I received in the States, and also I expected the workmanship to be good because the Armani tailor probably has experience in tailoring Armani suits. I paid W150,000 for the alternations at the Emporio Armani Store which was W30,000 more for the same alternations I had done at the department store for my Giorgio Armani sports jacket. When I received my Mani suit jacket back from the tailor, he did not finish the alternations and there were noticeable stains splattered on the right side of the suit. Also, when this tailor realized that I was a foreigner, his demeanor and behavior changed. He started to use impolite language, he seemed upset, he walks away without even telling me when I can pick up the jacket. I told the Emporio Store Manager that I will have the sleeves altered at some other tailor because I didn’t know what the tailor would do to my jacket if he had to work on it, again. When I told the store manager that It will cost about $10 to have the sleeves worked on, and that I will deduct $10 from the total bill, she got upset and started dashing towards me and yelling that I’m trying to cut the price of the alternations. She embarrasses me and insults in front of other customers instead of taking responsibility for the incomplete work and stains. This was probably the most embarrassing experience that I’ve had shopping anywhere. I expected more from Armani no matter what country it was located in. I asked Emporio Armani store to take responsibility for the incomplete alterations and especially the several stains on my suit jacket, but they refused. I contacted their distributor Shinsegae International if they will take responsibity but they told me they wouldn’t, either. However, the department store did redo the alterations for me, but they didn’t want to take responsibility for the stain, either. I took the suit to the cleaners and paid W35,000 for the premium service to get rid of the stain, but the stain is still noticable. In addition, the Emporio Armani store said that they would alter my Emengilido Zegna suit pants, but when it came back there were very deep creases from the ironing. Luckily, the department store’s seamstress was able to get rid of the deep crease. The Zegna suit was pretty much new because I had never worn them before, and I had never seen deep creases like that before from someone ironing it. I just wanted answers as to what the stain was on my Mani Suit, why the alterations were incomplete, why the tailor got upset as soon as he realized I was a foreigner among other things. I received a receipt from Shinsegae International for W200,000 for the alternations even though we agreed on W150,000. I wanted to pay using a debit card, but she said I had to pay in cash. When I bought a wallet for about W1,200,000 and jewelry for about W1,000,000 from your stores, you seem to be very polite and friendly, however, when I go to your store for alterations, you’re customer service is unprofessional. The reason I’m writing to you is because, I think, ultimately, Armani should take responsibility if Shinsegae International and Shinsegae do not want to take responsibility because after all, it does have your brand name on it. I have been shopping at your store for more than 30 years from A/X, Mani, Armani Collectioni, Emporio Armani to Giorigio Armani brand when I started to make money in my late 30s to 40s. I have always been more than satisfied with your customer service and that is one of the main reason I have been a loyal and lifelong customer in addition to buying Emilgendilo Zegna products. The customer service that I received at the Emporio Armani Store in Korea was a horrible experience. I have never been insulted like that in front of other customers and never had alterations done like that before. I would like Shinsegae or Shinsegae International to take full responsibility, if not, I hope that Armani will. Also, I tried to find Armani’s email address, but I can’t seem to find it anywhere. If anyone knows their email address, please let me know, or if anyone has any ideas on what I can do, please let me know. I just want someone to take responsibility. Thanks!
