yeah, Kiwi starts with really low move and HP but with great def... Slade also has low HP but awesome speed... though Peter is a game breaker... way too powerful in this game...

@@felipenascimento83 late to the party but how can you call a phoenix overpowered ? Its the magic of old game that show "worthy hero are followed by the mighty pure". I hate how nowadays the hero a nobody that become stronger than the world instead of being the one who has most value and supported by even stronger!

Must have taken quite a while to make Kiwi into such a powerful creature. Most impressive.

I'm not sure I've come across another youtube video with exclusively positive comments. I just finished the game and it was my first RPG as a kid. I am 30 now. such a nice feeling to come back and finish it.

This game was fucen fun. One of the best rpgs imo..

This is the only ending to a game that has made me cry.

Man, it must've taken a long time to get your characters this strong! After they get up to the higher levels, it seems to take forever for them to gain experience.

You can easily level every one up if you have a protective ring because everytime you use it on any character with 4 others you get 25 exp each time. Although it sounds a little exp its better to get 25 than 1 exp every time you kill an enemy if your strong between level 31-99

This will always be one of my all time favorite games, yet I can’t believe just how much the difficulty has curved from the original, even if you play on Easy. I just wished the Mithril Weapons weren’t so annoying to get at since you would mostly get ones you wouldn’t want. Not to mention the grinding seems unclear to me on good places to do so. Does anyone have advice? I grinded with those Flower Cannons, but after they got to like level 30 or so, every enemy I faced afterwards don’t give much.

I believe items like shield ring are nice for xp farming at any level

This brings back my old memories when I played this as a child several times now ur makes me cry I can't play it anymore one of the best stories ever kept me entertained forever.m.i love this game alot..

not really... i still have my old consoles individually as well and can play them any time... however i am trying to finish every game i have now... i am in game number 857 now and u can see all of them here in the 1387 vids of my channel... cant say i am jealous... ;)

If you've got a PC, download Steam and both SF 1 and SF 2 are on there for like 3 bucks each. That's how I'm playing them. Question is, where's the best place to grind for levels in 2?

Zeons intro was really something......"the other devil."

Shining force two and beyond oasis are the best Genesis games there it is.

Bravo for getting your dudes that cranked. I never had the patience for it once enemies started giving you 1XP per kill. Ashamed to say I used a save editor just to see the cool 4th tier spells.

Almost same as me...For me,I used the save editor to keep getting the stat-boost items for my combatants,until even at barely level 30,my team can survive the fight against Zeon without much struggle...But then,it start to feel kinda like not so satisfying(especially with the ending where Lemon and Galam have to be sacrificed to seal Zeon)

I remember playing shining force many times for years and while dark dragon was tough he never truly scared me the same way Zeon did. From what I understand we saw the whole dark dragon in shining force but yet we only faced Zeons head in this game and it was only ONE head as opposed to three of dark dragons…apparently zeon wasn’t even fully revived when they defeated him here while dark dragon if I remember correctly was…imagine if zeon was revived. Zeon seemed twisted and like a mentally insane version of dark dragon and more fierce but with only one head and not even us facing the fully revived zeon. The difference is these characters were much stronger than the ones that faced dark dragon so if I remember this fight was easier but for the reason that our characters were way stronger than the final battle ones who faced dark dragon and darksol in the first. I haven’t played any games of the series beside these two and shining in the darkness…. I read they have some many I have no idea how they compare to the original three. I heard they have shining game for switch…is that any good or anything close to as good or like shining force one and two? I just googled pics of it and it didn’t look anything like this :/

Impressive how tough you've gotten everyone. I loved this game but hated the ending. That princess was just far too annoying.

As a shining force 2 veteran, it's painful watching the extremely high levels of your part, grinding in this game.....oh so many hours.

I got the main character too Level 99. I think I used a ring maybe the healing ring. I had him used it till a cracked appear and retreat to fix it and do it again. It did take a while and having a Sega Nomad helped as I would lay in bed playing it

Age Cali he was an optional recruit early in the game, from my recollection. Start with really low hp, but high defense.

You can find Kiwi in 1 of the house at the southern part of Granseal,after the possessed Galam waged a war against Granseal,where many Granseal soldiers have died...

no, that was another char that i dont remember... u only recruit Lemon quite late in the game... and he is an enemy at first...

Lemon survived that was him at the knocked down state he was possessed by a demon he didn’t even fall in why would the demon fall in also galam fell in the gateway to arc valley but still he came out just fine

Can someone explain to me what the very end with the witch is all about? Is that supposed to be the Goddess MItula? Was this game all a dream or what, I don't get it. Maybe I'm being overly autistic.

I checked Shining Force Central before looking up this video but couldn't find any information on this. It's frustrating because it doesn't make sense for it to be Mitula... it doesn't really make sense for Bowie to be trapped in the forest to begin with only for him to be transported back to his supposed real life back home, unless he was under a spell that temporary induced amnesia.I just noticed today that the blue haired girl at the end is wearing the red and blue jewels from the game. Didn't Mitula keep those stones at the end? Agh this ending doesn't make any sense to me, what am I not understanding!!

When I was younger and had no Internet access I thought the witch was just herself, a character from outside the story. Then searching on Internet I began to believe that she was Mitula, but now I see that it doesn't makes much sense, the only thing in common among them is the hair colour; one has amber eyes and straight hair, the other has purple eyes, curly hair and a darker skin tone. I like the idea of her being her own character, if she's Mitula then the designers really messed up (aside from that princess bullshit ending), they forgot to change her design into her final version (or maybe didn't felt like redrawing her again and changing her sprites?) and released the game like that.

There's another shining game where spirits help the main character or something like that and the player is the spirit. So I imagine in that scene she's talking to you the player.

It gets even worse, Jaha wants the princess but can't because he's a dwarf, Sarah wants the hero and Sarah was the one who fought with him throughout the adventure (or at least until the middle of it because you can't change her until a good part ), Chester wants to go and console her because Sarah (an elf) can't have the hero because the hero (because the hero is human?), Chester (Sarah's friend for a long time) is prevented by Kazin from going after her and just listens a "she needs someone like me" and is totally naive, the hero basically has no choice and the whole gang seems drunk, everyone agreeing that Bowie should be with the princess (WHICH HE BARELY KNOWS), or else this all ends in " It doesn't matter if you were more important to that person, what matters is that "I AM THAT (same species) AND YOU'RE NOT" DAMN RACISTS! Worst ending I've ever seen in an RPG (and I started and finished playing this game this year and this ending really disappointed me), I tried to use exit magic to escape the castle, I tried to examine the walls, climb to the tower, finally, save the world and be FORCED to stay with a useless princess who did NOTHING to help me and even got in the way by being captured when there are powerful choices and a thousand times better (Sarah or Karna, Karna is not even present at the end) to get married "Ah, but🥴 in Shinning Wisdom, Sarah and Kazin become demon 🥴hunters" She could also become this along with Bowie, it makes no sense to say that she would be discarded!

Matias Péres It's not a big conspiracy. These games were made by mostly white/asian developers in mostly white/asian countries. If these games were invented and developed in africa every character would be black. It makes perfect sense.

i google there are only game genie codes for herbs level up, even if have hit an enemy level up it is only for a few characters only...

People hate Ninian from Fire Emblem 7 but Elis is worst: Ninian has some interaction with Eliwood, Elis talk to Bowie only twice. Ninian can be usefull, Elis is't a playable character. And if you whant to make the main character marry whith the blue (or green) haired action girl you can in Fire Emblem .

there is grinding. u can use herbs on urself. some actions also gives fixed xp.

Yes. First when you get to the fairy woods be careful and get your characters to level 40. All that you have. Then promote all. You’ll fight the lesser demon first. Put a winged character over the mist demon. Once you yield 1exp point I put another winged character over the Harpy pond. Then I go up to the left where the Orc appears. I level up till it only yields 1 exp. point. After that take on the most demon in the middle. Once you get Peter, Kiwi and Luke upgraded you can use them to fight the first Demon Mist at the first pond. Until then keep blocking that 1st Mist Demon off. Once you promote your characters after getting to level 40, start at the Lesser Demon again. This should get all of your characters to level 9 promoted or level 49. Then block off the Lesser Demon and take on the Mist Demon; right there when you first come in, where it spawns at the pond. Get all characters to level 23. Then all the way up to the top of the map there is a Dark Mage. Like the one who stands next to Zeon. That enemy will get your characters to level 29. Then when fighting Zeon take on the Zeon Guards to get to level 32. It’s the prism flower things. After that it is basically you and Zeon. You can grind away on Zeon. This will take forever though. To speed it up keep loading up medical herbs and your Vicr Freija and your three Master Monks should already be level 99. Just keep using herbs and attacking Zeon with one character until you’re done. You can farm Cameela for XP. You can farm pretty much every boss for tons of XP. This is how you grind out. The secret is the FAIRY WOODS.
