Seems like if the deck gets to do its strategy it absolutely demolishes the enemy
This might be a stupid question, but can ravemon attack without deleting itself? Is it optional or do you have to delete it after attacking?

No such thing as a stupid question. But you are able to choose whether or not you want to have Ravemon delete itself. Many people choose to do it to get the inherit effects and to cycle the Ravemons from trash, as you don't have to play the same Ravemon via the effect
