@@samash7302 Three of the members initially tried to split the group because they thought the contract was too harsh (more complicated than that of course but it will be too long to write on a KZread reply), and that eventually lead to them breaking after filling a contract nullification lawsuit and forming a trio which is known as JYJ, and then SM inflicted a lawsuit on them and they inflicted a lawsuit back lol then they had a ban of appearing on three of Korea's main broadcasters, like, they were blacklisted and couldn't appear at tv at all. But since they were M A D popular in Japan, they still sold a lot

Everyone, they weren’t singing live. It SOUNDS like they are singing live because this is what SM does now. Basically no one ever sings live now that there isn’t a crowd because of covid. What they do is they sing again before dancing, then they lip sync to that sound so it sounds like they are singing live. It’s not that they can’t sing live, it’s just that sm choreography are so hard and it wouldn’t sound good for anyone to be singing live while dancing to the dances. This isn’t just for Shinee, this is for a lot of groups in SM. No hate to them, love them all.

Think it's because *everyone* knows how good Taemin is. He's the original Golden Maknae and is probably the most famous member with his incredibly successful solo career. So it's no surprise that he's amazing. But a lot of people seem to have forgotten that Key is also a great singer, because he seemed to be made "Rapper No. 2" alongside Minho for years and didn't seem to get many big singing parts, so when they hear him actually singing big main vocal parts they didn't realise he was so good. That's what I think anyway, lol

Everyone, they weren’t singing live. It SOUNDS like they are singing live because this is what SM does now. Basically no one ever sings live now that there isn’t a crowd because of covid. What they do is they sing again before dancing, then they lip sync to that sound so it sounds like they are singing live. It’s not that they can’t sing live, it’s just that sm choreography are so hard and it wouldn’t sound good for anyone to be singing live while dancing to the dances. This isn’t just for Shinee, this is for a lot of groups in SM. No hate to them, love them all.

@@prestons4988 Oh I understand... I didn't know about it because personally, if the group is experienced enough, I can't really tell if they lip sync or not. Either way I wanted to point out, that in the live version I can hear more details than the MV.

@@prestons4988 shinee is definitely singing live here, theyve tried lip syncing like 3 times and couldn’t do it😭✋🏻- side note- shinee is a group who always sings live, it’s their thing along with being great performers, and along with considering they all have vocal posistions

SM usually had their artists lip sync during the first week of promotion on music shows but idk if they still go by that formula. Kpop is hard to keep up nowadays.

I thought I couldn't respect Shinee more than I already did. They dropped a song that not many were expecting them to do, a song that goes well with current kpop industry and manage to look currently withou looking like "older generation dudes trying to fit in", no they *ATE THAT SHHH* no lefties were left for anyone. They did it perfectly but still having that glow charm and charisma of 2nd generation This just prove shinee is timeless and legends that can keep going and catch up with any generation in the future and gonna snatch wigs of their older fans as gonna welcome new fans I'm just wow, all my respect for the legends

It's such a shame that there isn't a big crowd welcoming them after the long break. Gosh could this pandemic be gone already, I feel so sorry for artists.

No Kpop can come close to these legends, and I can see their angel J. with them too. Their art is unique, they look new everytime. Now, that's talent!

태민이는 보컬도 댄스도 완벽하다 진짜ㄷㄷ 보컬은 일취월장 했고, 댄스는 처음부터 잘한다 했는데도 거기에서 더 발전해서 부드러움과 완급조절이 딱딱 정말 완벽쓰~ 이제 낯가리는 느낌도 없이 곡 표현도 너무 여유롭게 해서 앞으로가 더 기대됨!

@Tim Otte Big Bang is a hip hop based boygroup. Thats like comparing Ikon and Bts (2020 bts not old school). Like sure, if you really want to compare them, go ahead but its not really a valid comparison. And its a yg group from 2005 vs an sm boy group from 2008, comparing the choreographies is purely like no. That's not a good idea. Yg choreo is swag based, nothing else, and that's fine because it emphasizes the song. I mean, yang hyunsuk was once of the choreographers for seo taiji and boys and thats where most of his inspiration for kpop came from, so his hip hop based groups with an emphasis on rap and swaggy choreography makes complete sense. Maybe you could compare super junior to big bang since at least they came out in the same year but again, it's an sm group vs a yg one. They're built incredibly differently and they're meant to cater to a different type of audience.

@@morningsminion3242 Big Bang is legendary for their own reasons but let's be honest they literally COULDN'T dance Shinee's choreographies nor are they as good at harmonizing even though individually they have good vocalists and ofc far better rappers. So while you CAN compare them the result of the comparison to me is that they don't have much in common.
