Yes, SHINee has always been these same 4/OT 5 members. SHINee debuted in 2008 when Onew was 18, Jonghyun had just turned 18, Minho and Key were 16 and Taemin was 14. So now Onew is 31, Minho and Key are 29 and Taemin is 27. They have been around for 13 years and they are still one of the top Kpop groups in the industry. Taemin is also a solo artist, as well as a member of SuperM. You have seen Taemin's recent solo MV for his song "Criminal." So SHINee are part of the second generation of Kpop and yet they are younger than most everyone in their generation and are the same age or even younger than many of the members of groups who came after them, such as EXO and BTS, etc. which are part of Kpop's third generation. SHINee debuted young and have the experience of seasoned veterans. What you just experienced is exactly what makes SHINee legends. And this is the reason why they are so highly respected, and why almost everyone in the industry who came after them cites them as one of their biggest influences and one of the reasons why they wanted to become a singer and dancer, etc. SHINee are one of the most iconic and influential groups. They are always setting trends, never following them. SHINee where designed to be SM's experimental boy group, so everything they do is meant to be the first and they are expected to set the trend. With every new song SHINee produces it's expected to be different than the last, so you will never hear the same style or sound from them in any of their songs, even on the same album, and yet, somehow it will always sound like SHINee. The industry looks to SHINee to show them what the next song style and dance trend will be. The ONLY thing they are not good at is lip syncing so they avoid it at all costs, so when you hear SHINee singing 95% of the time it will be live. It's a running joke between the fans and the members that when SHINee lip syncs you can tell because it's very obvious. They have now gained the reputation as the group that always sings live, so unless they are required to lip sync for a specific reason, SHINee will always sing live. They have trained their entire career to be able to sing live and sound flawless while performing extremely complex choreography and they can do it for 3+ hours straight. SHINee set the standard. That is why they are so highly respected among their peers. It is literally referred to as the SHINee standard. It's the standard all other groups strive to reach. You just discovered why SHINee still hold one of the top spots after more than a decade in the industry. If you are impressed now, just wait until you go through their entire discography of songs and MVs. So far, they have 13 full-length albums (7 Korean albums and 6 Japanese albums) -- plus several repackaged albums, a multitude of mini albums, numerous OSTS, they each have solo songs and albums and there are hundreds of live performances that will absolutely leave you speechless with their talent. And it only gets more and more impressive as you follow them through their career. They have accomplished a lot in the past 12+ years and they are one of the groups that made Kpop what it is today. However, if you want to see where SHINee truly shines, you have to see their live performances. "Atlantis" is a mythical city that is part of a story within Greek mythology, referring to the Lost City of Atlantis. The story of Atlantis is most often depicted as a utopian society on an island that became submerged and lost in the middle of the ocean. SHINee's MV is referencing the lost city of Atlantis, so it's supposed to look like they are visiting Atlantis at the bottom of the sea. The whole MV is a reference to the story of Atlantis, which is why you see them selling seafood and why they are underwater, etc. As I interpret the MV, the convenience store is a cover for the fact that it sits on top of a portal to the city of Atlantis. To the average person, the store just looks like a regular store, but if you are in on the secret you know that if you head to the storage room or basement, etc. you will find a magical elevator/submarine that will take you to "Atlantis." You should check out the behind the scenes MV shoot for "Atlantis", kzread.info/dash/bejne/nKJq082MftXVaaQ.html, to really see how detailed everything in the MV was. Fun fact: Although all the aqua blue you see in this MV is supposed to represent water and the city of Atlantis, something you should know is that SHINee's fan color is pearl aqua, so all the aqua blue and green colors you see in the MV also represent SHINee as a group and their connection to their fans. Also, SHINee will forever be a group of 5, so, they always make sure to include Jonghyun, in everything they do. Jonghyun was SHINee's main vocalist and the songwriter of the group -- he passed away 3 years ago. But if you notice the MNet date in the bottom left corner in the opening scene of the MV, it says April 8, which is Jonghyun's birthday. And if you pay attention to the choreography when the members put their arms on each others' shoulders, you see Taemin stretches his arm out as if he is resting it on an invisible person next to him, which is thought to be a nod to the fact that this is where Jonghyun would be, and even in some of the choreography they leave a wide gap in the middle which fans also think was done as a reference to Jonghyun's spot in the group. On a side note: Just look how busy Taemin has been these days. He has said that he really has never taken a true vacation since he was a trainee -- he started with SM Entertainment when he was around 11 years old -- and he doesn't know what to do if he isn't constantly working and training. He is constantly pushing himself to become the best of the best in everything he does. The first time he said he ever took a break was in 2018 when he took a couple of days off without doing anything work related. But he says he didn't really like it, that's why you see him constantly producing new music and involved in one project after another without any break. So, he was promoting SuperM's Super One album -- "100," "Tiger Inside," and "One (Monster & Infinity)," etc. -- and touring with SuperM, while he was also working on his most recent solo comeback with his Never Gonna Dance Again trilogy of albums -- "2 Kids," "Criminal," "Idea" and "Think of You," etc. And then, even before he was done with his solo promotions, he started working on SHINee's "Don't Call Me" comeback. And then while promoting with SHINee he also was working on SuperM's new song and MV "We Do" and he just recorded his first solo OST (Original Soundtrack song) for the K-Drama Navillea, all while preparing for SHINee's repackaged album comeback "Atlantis". He also has a solo Japanese comeback next month, and I wouldn't be surprised if SHINee was also working on their Japanese comeback. (With almost every Korean album and comeback SHINee usually follows it up with a Japanese album and comeback.) Taemin has released music either as a member of SHINee, as a solo artist, as a member of a group project or as a member of SuperM every year since SHINee's debut in 2008, and in between everything, he is also doing concerts and promoting all of it. Taemin's push to cram so much into this past year and a half I think is all in preparation for the fact that he will be enlisting in the military soon -- he just announced he will be leaving May 31 -- and he will be on hiatus for 18 months as he completes is duties to his country. Which will actually force him to take a break and he might even get some rest. LOL Taemin is the last of the members to enlist. Onew was discharged in July, Key was discharged in October and Minho was released in November.

There are only 4 members in Shinee (previously 5 but that was a long time ago, unfortunately he passed away) but there was only 4 in Don’t Call me. you recognise Taemin as you have reacted to his solo song Criminal (react to his song Idea) he is also apart of Super M. SM took their best artist from their individual groups and made a super group called Super M dubbed the Avengers of KPop. "Don't call me" was with four members too... just had backup dancers. But in fact, SHINee was a five member group until 2017, where the main vocalist, Kim Jonghyun, unfortunally passed away. He never left de group itself but died as a member who can never be forgetten: for his work, his friendship, skills. His legacy can never be left behind because he was one of the most amazing idol and person that we could ever imagine in meet. And the guy that you said that is familiar is Taemin. You guys already react to him :D

To answer your questions in short: - Yes, that is Taemin. - SHINee originally had 5 members but unfortunately one passed away. There were only 4 members both in Don’t Call Me and Atlantis. The former just had a lot of back dancers in it so that must’ve given you the impression that there were more members.

There are only 4 members you are probably a bit confused because in "don't call me" they had backup dancers. Also the reason you recognize taemin it's because you reacted to criminal which is by him and talking about that i highly recommend to react to his other solo "Idea".

"Don't Call Me" had 5 members; 4 you could see and one spiritual. They are always SHINee 5. The other dancers were backup dancers. In this video, during Minho's rap solo, you see the members with their arms around each other and doing a slow kick. Go back to this part and watch Taemin on the end. He has his left arm extended as if wrapped around the shoulders of someone. That someone is Jonghyun. Then again, when the members are down in Atlantis with the darker colors of blue and purple, you see when they're dancing together, there is a gap in the back between Onew (wearing cream) and Key (wearing a purple vest). That gap is Jonghyun's spot. They also released a b-side track on this repackaged album called "Arena" which was written by Minho and includes phrases of their past songs, and it's about Jonghyun. It is an absolutely beautiful song and really demonstrates their vocal abilities and musicality. I hope you will react to the lyric video for it; you won't be sorry. The last addition to the repackaged album is "Days and Years". It's a song about two things together: SHINee's brotherhood and SHINee World (their fandom). Another whimsical, yet beautiful song. The entire album is spectacular. Not a skip on it. The one who looks familiar is Taemin. You reacted to his solo song, "Criminal" last month. I hope you will react to the sister song to "Criminal" called "IDEA". I think you would be blown away by it. Also, Taemin is having a Beyond Live solo concert on 5/2/21, and another solo album coming out during the 2nd or 3rd week of May. Then, sadly, Taemin will be leaving for his mandatory military service on 5/31. This is killing all of us SHAWOLs because they were just reunited in November and had such a short time together before he's leaving. However, we will all still support him and the other members until his return in November of 2022. If you like this song, you will absolutely love their other stuff. Same with their solo work. Ya know what's crazy? I just watched a reaction to Excuse Me Miss and someone also said he looked like Jimin. It's actually a really common comparison that I've seen a lot, but I think since we're aware of them as two completely different people despite their close friendship, it is more difficult to see a similarity, but if multiple people with no connection say the same thing there must be something to it I guess~ I think I can understand it because people say my sister and I look just alike and neither of us nor our mom sees it😅

This choreography reminds me of a fish tail movement and of course there are times when there is room for jjong. Taemin's rock vocals become more mesmerizing, as if he were a mermaid who lures with his voice. Minho with this rap and sss that resembles the sound of the waves. Onew and his long high note is just wow and the Key completes the whole thing. SHINee💎💎💎💎💎
