I'm not at work, but the second part of your sentence is streaming down my face now.

I stumbled onto this song while sitting on the couch. I lost my son to cancer at the age of 13, 2 years later I was diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer. I figured and actually hoped that would be the end for me and I would go to be with my son. My wife kept me alive "Not once but twice". I wanted to die after losing my son and then almost died from Cancer myself losing 40lbs in 1 month. This song literally blew my mind as it perfectly embodied the actual support my wife showed me, which proved to me I still had purpose here on earth. My purpose was to protect her at all costs. I lost all emotional control and my wife, who was sitting next to me (I had Headphones on) asked "are you ok" I handed her the headphones and said "It's you" she cried I cried and it was a beautiful moment that sparked a wonderful conversation about my love for her. Thank you Shinedown.

I was lucky enough to see them perform Daylight live before the album dropped and fell in love with it immediately. I could see Shinedown every month, at least, and still not get enough of their music and awesome show. I can't wait for the new concert video!!

Me too!! Hershey, PA. I loved it the first time hearing it. Some songs (in general) have to grow on you. Daylight grabs you and pulls you in just listening to the first chorus! It just has a sound that makes you want to sing, makes you happy. 😊🥰

This song brings me to to tears like may other shinedown songs because for me it's about my wife. She has a chronic illness and is bed ridden, we have 3 young daughters and everything is on my shoulders to take care of us and we have lost most of our friends and family because of it so the line "it's amazing what the hard times can reveal like who shows up, who walks away and who's for real" is true. I try and always make sure she sees the daylight for us both. Thank you guys for that.

I’m August of 2022 my 4 year marriage ended. I went into a downward spiral. I was depressed and suicidal. I met a friend named Ali during this time. She reintroduced me to Shinedown. I decided to take her to one of their concerts. She helped me find my will to live again. This song became our anthem. I think of her every time I hear it. When they played this song at the concert I stood holding her in my arms crying. I thanked her for showing up and for being real. And I thank Shinedown for helping me find the words to tell my best friend how much she means to me

"Have faith that you're not alone. Have faith that you're not on your own." These are words I repeat daily since I first heard this song. We may help Shinedown see the daylight, but they also help their fans see the daylight! Cannot wait to see them live again!

It is never easy, I raised two children entirely on my own after their mother took off on us. I wanted to die... I had to claw my way out, and slowly release the resentment and hatred until I was free. Remember that happiness is an unattainable abstract without first finding contentment and accepting who you are inside. Life is 10% what happens and 90% how we react to it. My acceptance of these facts helped me break on through.

Amen to that! I thank God for Shinedown! They helped me through a divorce and everything since. They are truly encouraging and I can’t even imagine how many lives they have saved with their music. ❤️

A good friend and police officer went through one of the roughest patches of his life. First losing his wife to cancer, then his sister to suicide and another unfortunate event. I found this song yesterday because ever since then, we do a "buddy check in" on each other twice per day. He was there when I had a rough patch and ready to give up as well. Depression, Anxiety, PTSD and all mental health are not jokes. Let's make sure everyone sees the daylight tomorrow and save some lives. You are all stronger than you think. I've seen Shinedown live now 6 times since 2006, and they never fail to impress, they put on a great show and always sound just like their albums live! Thank you Shinedown for always being real, so many of your songs have really got me through a lot over these years, thank you for helping me see the "Daylight"

😂 To me it's completely the opposite. The Album version gives me so much more, because there are no guitar elements which makes it even more special. Guess they added this here for the live factor, but I really think this makes the Song worse.🙊

I don't think there's another band like Shinedown! They bring such emotion with their songs. I listen to their music, I hear the lyrics & I can relate! From what I can see from comments, others relate also. They always give such inspirational messages & altho I love the songs I feel like crying a lot of the times. It must be that emotion I mentioned. No other band makes me feel their music like this. Each one of these guys must be special to be able to create & bring us this kind of music. I'm 67 & Shinedown is now my favorite band. Thank you guys!💖💖💖

I'm 70 and have heard this song on and off for over a year, but today I chased the song down and you are right, this song is deep, loving it.

Shinedown has saved me. Ive had an extremely rough past almost 10 years and Shinedown has helped me always see the daylight through all of my darkest moments. I finally got to see them live at WIIL Rock Fest this year, I was right in the front row with my wheelchair so I got to see and hear everything perfectly. I was bawling while singing as loud as I could. I'll follow them down to the end. I know anytime they are playing near me I WILL be there, I could watch them play over and over again they're that amazing. I can honestly say Shinedown saved my life and continues to do so everyday. After watching the video: I saw them perform with Jelly Roll who is another artist who's music has helped saved my life. I am SO glad that they included him in the video! Shinedown (and Jelly Roll) will save my life for as long as I live.

Their music helped me through a near fatal car accident, losing my leg, losing 3 of my grandparents, the ending of a 5 year relationship, and much more in the last few years. If Covid 19 2020 has taught me anything it is this: to live life to the fullest, to not take it for granted and to celebrate each and everyday as if it were your last. It also taught me to cherish everyone in my life fully and wholeheartedly. To let them know how much they mean to me. Tell them everyday I love them. Greg my husband & I lost our two young adult son's tragically & unexpectedly. Jake 2019 & DJ just 8 months later in 2020. We also lost almost all of our "so-called" friends & what we thought were close family members too. I have seen some of my darkest days since Sept 7th 2019 & still struggle every day to see the daylight. Shinedown is amazing. Touching our soul & giving comfort & they don't even know us. You have no idea how this song effects my heart. Being a 70 yr old who's been in many scenarios that fit this song raising children and grandchildren and referring this song to them. You're definitely on the top of my list. Thank you, Shinedown.

My dad was critically injured in a house fire in Feb. 2011. My kids are here because of him. He used to be my daylight. We lost him on my autistic son's birthday, 6 months and one day after losing my son's father to an addiction no one knew he had. It's been a long and very dark road and I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for my kids. Everyday's a battle against myself, but my kids are my daylight. The fight continues. Keep fighting.🖤🖤🖤

I suffer from a chronic sleep disorder. Most days are hard due to extreme exhaustion. Suicide ideation is a constant demon I fight and this song helps me remember that there are other people out there like me and if they can keep fighting then so can I. Thank you Shinedown for Daylight and everything else you have done ❤️

I have 11 years clean and a life worth living thanks to Shinedown and the real they express in every song even in my recovery when I was ready to give up they saved my life and gave my kids their mom back I wouldn’t be the woman I am today without their message

I remember when I saw them live when I was 13 this song helped me with so much. Then when I went back to see them a year later when they played this song I just cried. Shinedown songs did wonders for me and I'm only 15 years old.

Every since I 1st heard this song, Shinedown has came a top fav of mine. Daylight makes me cry but in a beautiful kinda way. This song inspires many! Brent's voice is on point, along with the lyrics. And I know this has a big meaning in his heart as well. Beautifully made Shinedown!! 👏 🤟❤

I don’t think I can narrate what this song will mean to you or even to myself. These guys are true artists. I’m never short of amazed by them. I feel that they read every one of our journals and write scripture over them. Take this however you want to take it, just make sure you take it.

I had to tell my family that i was in a great battle with depression not to long ago they saved me im doing better then i was im so happy i have them

I lost my Mom (63) to Leukemia on August 13th of 2022. All kinds of thoughts have flooded my brain since then. However, this song, always plays when I start thinking darker thoughts. Thanks Shinedown for always being "there" for me.

They just want you to be good enough to be able to do what they want you to do. To the ones that love those who are in dark places and cant really offer much, Yall the real MVPs.

My daughter who had just received a Kidney transplant at 12 years old made it into this video waving @ 2:48 seconds. It was her very 1st concert ever and some of the crew made her day!!! With a drumstick and a guitar pick! @DTE

I was so lucky to see them live last May for birthday with my wife who saved my life after losing my mom & Shinedown performed this before their release !!

I cant even put into words how much I love this band. I've been listening to them my entire life and their music has helped me through so much in my life. I almost took my life 2 years ago and struggled with self harm, months later I saw them live for the first time as my first ever concert and I cried when they played this song.

This song is helping me through my divorce this year, and has made me ever so thankful for my support network that has kept me from spiraling into a deep depression. Love this band so much; I've seen them twice live and would jump at the chance to go again! Thank you for always being there for us, Shinedown (for me, since 2008).

I went through a very rough time with depression. I left my wife, ignored my family, got fired from a couple of jobs. I was in the darkest of darkness. I wanted to end my life and make it all go away. My wife never gave up on me. She never walked away, she's for real. She literally saved my life. If I could write a song about my experience and a tribute to her it would be word for word Daylight. I can't sing at all, but one day when I can get through the song without crying I'm going to sing it to her. Thank you so much for such an incredible song and message hope. Saw someone had posted a video from a concert of this song so I clicked on it. Heard the first few lines and knew I needed to wait until it was officially released before I listened to the rest so I could get the full experience. Absolutely love this song and seeing it played in person in Kansas City to start the Planet Zero tour with Jelly Roll was incredible

I heard this the first time at Thunder Beach back in October. I’m 18 and I’ve heard every Shinedown song since I was in the womb. Their songs saved my life on multiple occasions when I really saw no other way out. I was less than 10ft away from them at thunder beach, backstage. And I helped set up their stage and break it down. Even got to touch Cappy’s chair. A part of me wishes I had the chance to tell them how much they changed my life. How many times they saved me. This song in specific, I was having a really hard time adjusting to a new life. A new s/o, and starting our life together. I heard the first verse of this song and broke into absolute tears. I was sobbing, on my knees, having people ask me if I was alright. I can’t express enough to the entire Shinedown crew, I love you guys. Your music, your everything. I wish I had the chance to tell you in person and I really wish I wasn’t so afraid to at least yell to you and just say something. You changed my life for the better, you saved my life. I too lost my Mom recently. And my only brother. Both in 2020. Shinedown's music has lifted me and brought many bouts of tears to soothe the ragged edges of my soul. They have the most real and truthful lyrics, and you can FEEL the love and support amongst the guys. I hope you heal. Cry all you can - it washes your soul. Hang in there.

I heard this song in billing before it came out. The past year and a half before that I went through a divorce. My ex was pregnant at the time and moved to Utah, I lost my home cuz I couldn't afford it on my own. I was living in my car and in the darkest place I've ever been. I've been a fan since fly from the inside, but this song saved my life that night. Words can't express how grateful I am for this band. I wouldn't be here without you
