A 30 something girl heard me whistling this song one morning at a grocery store. She teared up and told me, the last time she'd heard this song was when her mother had her in a stroller marching in Chicago with churches singing this. Her mother told her to always remember that when she heard this song to remember the love of God. Her mother passed, and she drifted away from the Lord. Whne she heard me whistling it, she remembered her mothers words and gave her life to Jesus that morning. Powerful song. Thanks Kendrick Graham! Beautifully sung Brits!!!

For the very first time , I’ve found this glorious piece of hymn in my life. Now I praise the Lord for his grace, mercy and love for all mankind.

I grew up listening to this song in a small Methodist church in South Africa. 18 years later it still blesses me

God is mighty I wish to visit Britain before my days on earth are done

The more Jesus a country has, the more freedom a country has.

The world needs this right now more than ever.

This song brings back memories of my childhood. My best friends dad was a vicar, and when I went for tea we would go to church later. It was the best moments of my childhood. I always wanted to go, and I'd always request this song. I had so much innocent faith as a child even when home was dark, the world killed it. I don't know about you but I want that same faith back!? I love to see the traditional church singing such traditional songs! So unique to British culture. I imagine all nations coming together worshipping from different tongue's and tribes in heaven. It's something beautiful to think about!

Great evangelical sound! Seem to remember singing this and 'belting it' in Edinburgh at Tynecastle at Billy Graham Crusade in 1991. Wonderful.

Whenever I think of what heaven will be like I think of this song. I also think of Handel's The Messiah, or Beethoven's Ode to Joy. I see heaven as a magnificent feast celebrating seeing Jesus our Lord and Saviour and wonderful music and many choirs and many other wonderful ways to celebrate Jesus and our joining to Him!

Reminds me of my confirmation as an adult in 1988. Never too late to discover the beauty of Christ
