Cracking reels. I use these for my actual fishing reels. 270 yards of 0.39 mono. Saves on line unless you're fishing super long range or abroad. Proper solid and smooth. Line flys off the Spool nice clutch and drag system. Spot on.

Companies who sell Shimano carp reels want to make their minds up on price some have put the price up 40quid for the same reel even the 14000 xtd went up 40quid .

I have one i use for spoding and it is really decent. Definitely a quality reel and i would say yes ok to fish with. The front drag works well and a small turn lets it run

They do them as fishing reels. Both in 5500 and 14000 models Have a pair of the 5500 would defo recommend.

We use normal reels for spod work and marker work so why not it's a reel.Get the 5500 or 14000 depending on rods and distance you fish.
