Shilo Ben Hod Interview

In this episode we step out of our normal program format in order to sit down and talk with Israeli Messianic worship leader, Shilo Ben Hod. In the interview, we discuss his music (of course), but more importantly, topics such as his perspective towards the Body of Messiah, modern day worship music and what he sees the Father doing right now in Israel.

Shilo is right. American worship music is about self. We had the blessing to worship with Shilo and his family no long ago and we were amazed that they are so humble talking to everyone afterwards. We had assisted in the past to "Christian concerts" forget about talking to the "artists". We are so blessed for the Israeli worshipping. One in Yeshua ❤

Oh my ! Shilo said the worship music in America is centered more around me , I not so much on Elohim ...that is so true! I've never heard any one say that before thank you for pointing it out.. Hebrew worship is totally opposite and I love that.. I hope alot of believers get a chance to hear that comment. Elohim Messiah is the focus not us only Him. Thank you Shilo.

Love the interview, I love them some much in the Lord. He is so right when he said that here in E. U. most of the workship is more about what I feel , what I want from God, etc...and workship is all about God. I personally watch a lot of messianic music and love it.❤

I completely agree with Shilo on how American worship music has much focus on "me" "I". I see that a lot too - We sing a lot about "what God is doing for ME". I wish it were not so focused on that, but more of what it should be - singing to God about how great He is, how amazing He is, how great His might is, how wonderous He is, and to sing our thanksgiving to him - for WHO HE IS, not just for what He does for me. I am really grateful to Shilo for mentioning that!!

Shilo is one of the only Jews I know off that actually supports and invite alle people to keep the Shabbat. Most Jews and Christians agree that the Torah, including the Feasts of YeHoVaH and the Shabbat are not for Gentiles, while the Scriptures convey a totally different message! This was so encouraging to us as Messianic believers who are not of Jewish descent.

I listen now only to Israeli worship music. I prefer it FAR above whatever Christian music (In English) is being touted these days, and I find my Spirit loves it too! I too, as a Christian, discovered a whole new world in adding the study of the Hebrew language, custom and ways. I just love it! I’m not sure Israel realizes it has a huge alliance with us Christians from the USA! I listen daily to SOLU Israel, Shai Sol and Miqedem; I share them here because they HUGELY affect the Holy Spirit, and more of us need to hear their music! It is my most humble opinion that Israel has the best artists on the planet when it comes to worship music! This is my first presence here, and I’m so delighted! I’ve had the same type of path that the host has had, and I delight in reading the Israel Bible that came out not too long ago! I will forever be a fan, and a forever supporter of Israel!!

Interesting. Very similar to what happened to me: I recently came back to Yeshua truly & fully then began studying the Hebrew language & customs. (Reading the Hebrew Bible as well). There's so much depth there. So grateful to have come across SOLU Israel (and thank you for mentioning Shai Sol and Miqedem. I definitely need to give them a listen). Israeli worship is truly worship in spirit & truth, in the inspiration of the Holy Spirit- most likely why the believer's spirit is drawn to it. May the Lord continue to bless their ministries, working in & through them; there's a great work our God is doing in the church around the world in these days. The Lord bless & keep you

Great interview, I was in Israel in 2019, that’s the hotel I was at I tried to work out on Saturday and they said they I could not because it was SHABBAT… I was clueless so I did some research and then I felt horrible because I felt like I was disrespecting their culture and then I realized our culture as Gentile Christians comes from the old testament… With the fulfillment of prophecy being Jesus Yashua. In the last couple years done a lot of study I’ve gained a tremendous passion to see Jews and Arabs get saved… My wife and I have always tried to respect the Sabbath keep it holy realizing we probably haven’t done well with that… And I don’t have to follow the Jewish model for Shabbatt to know we are lacking… So we have purposefully Morceau try to experience Shabbat but we don’t try to be Jewish I can’t find any scripture where As Gentile Christians we are called to keep all of the laws for the Sabbath the way a Jew is supposed to… But we can certainly model that and remember to keep it holy… A huge part would be for me stepping away from the things of the week

I replied to someone down in the comment, and I thought it would be better to paste it here for everyone. The comment was about being Jewish. And In the comment, I was trying to illustrate God's initial plan to be available to the people he created. I quoted a few verses in the bible. And I am sorry if you find it hard to follow English is not my first language, and I didn't have enough time to draft something carefully. In Genesis, God created man in his image and likeness. Was this man Jewish? I guess the answer is no. But later in the book, we see God choosing Abraham, Genesis 22:18. But the bible/ Torah continued with the story of Abraham and his descendent because God has chosen them (Abraham descendent) to be his testimony on the earth, Genesis 18:19. God's promise to Abraham and Jacob (Isreal) was beyond blessing their descendent and family. The promise included all the families on the earth. At least, that is what I read in the English translation I am using. Anyway, I am not arguing about Jewishness but just saying that God's attention was beyond loving one race. God wants that In days like this many would know him and enjoy him daily., Habakkuk 2:14. Much respect and shalom! I am here because I enjoy Ben's music!

Jesus Yeshua is god ? It seems that the definition of god is different in different faiths ? Do you mean that Jesus is the creator of all the universes ? If you mean he is a part of the lord god the creator , that means that is a part is equal to the whole ? How can a man who is born from the whomb of another human can be the creator of all the universes ..A messanger and medum can be god ? Someone can highly be holy and lovely ..but ..how can he be a god ? I thought that in messianic judaism it is not believe that Jesus was god ? Oh my god help me how can some human be you ?

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made…in Him was life and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness does not comprehended it…And the Word was made flesh and tabernacles among us. John 1:1-5 & 14. Only God Himself has the power to do this. Hope that speaks to you. Blessings in the name of Yeshua (His name means salvation). Also look at Matt 45:41-46 ( which includes a quote for Psalm 110:1)

Many Americans do not comprehend that you are not Jewish if you are a native born Israeli. You are also not Jewish if you believe in Jèshu (the Aramaic name of Jesus) and you are not Jewish if you convert to Judaism. You are even not Jewish if you have a Jewish father. Basically you can never 'become Jewish', you have to *_be_* one. And how can you be one? By loving Adoisjeem, the (only/single/unique) God of Aovraham, Jiezchaq and Ja'aqov, by loving you fellow men _and_ by rejecting every kind idolatry. This includes worshipping, praying to, or in the name of Jeshu. As long as this 'Shilo ben Hod' (obvious knickname) keeps praying in the name of Jesus (as he did in that shabbath video) he's a christian. Not a Jew. Because only a Jew repudiates idol worship.
