Thank you so much for your great videos! They are exceptionally well thought out, thorough, accurate ….and kindhearted. My wife has had a tracheostomy and ventilator for the last 5 months, and will likely always need them now. She has been a quadriplegic for 23 years, and her lungs have gotten worse over the years. Your videos have provided invaluable information that has made our transition to this new phase of her difficult life more tolerable. Our faith in our loving and omnipotent God, supportive family and friends, and good medical care have sustained us; and vital practical information such as that provided by your videos fill in much needed guidance that somehow doesn’t get conveyed by medical personnel and vendors. Some Bivona tubes have “Flextend” cannulas which extend past the neck :)

Do other tracheostomy tubes have metal in them or just the bivona?

There are metal tracheostomy tubes. Those trach tubes are made from stainless steel or sterling silver. The Bivona is the only non-metal trach tube which has metal in it.
