Nanaya is the unused part of Shiki because the Nanaya clan were a group of humans who killed dangers to humanity like vampires and monsters. This is also why Shiki has such strong impulses when near a vampire, his Nanaya blood is telling him that the creature should not exist in this world, it needs to be destroyed. Considering that he not only has a sister who is basically a vampire, but is in a relationship with a true vampire, he obviously doesn't agree with those feelings.

I thought Nanaya clan(and rest of demon hunter clan) only hunting mixed blood of human and demon, outside from that they not counting as prey(if not maybe people like Zouken or Araya are hunting by them🤔)

This Nanaya has eyes because, like those created by the Tatari, he's a representation of fear and rumors. He's just the personification of the Satsujinki, the killer which Shiki fears to become if he's overcome by Nanaya's bloodlust. Nanaya just tends to use his family's killing techniques instead of his eyes most of the time due to him being... er... a Nanaya.

I hate how Nanaya basically dies in both his endings for Act-Cadenza and Re-ACT. Sure he dies epically in them, but I feel that considering he's one of the most liked characters in Tsukihime/Melty Blood, I can't help but think that he deserves better than two endings of ironic inevitability.

You have Shiki Tohno, a good guy who was trained as a toddler/boy to be an assassin/killer of the supernatural. Nanaya(created by Tatari and then White Len) is what Shiki fears he could become, a merciless killer that enjoys his work and disregards life.

It's a play on words. Fusing together the name Shiki, and the Japanese word for murder, satsujin, becomes Satsujinki. In English some people have translated this to "Shikiller", which is surprisingly similar to the Japanese meaning. Other than that, argent is right. It's set after Arc's True End, and Shiki's eyes have become so powerful that only burial cloth from the Church wrapped over them can make him not see death. It even says he kills a Dead Apostle without it even knowing.

I know why because I'm feeling the same way about it lmao. The protagonist for this is Nanaya, and he basically knows he's gonna "die" after the fights are over with. You feel sad about it because Nanaya > all XD

With Type-Moon, it's a bit odd. There's a character named Zelretch who has the ability to travel across parallel universes, all with altered possibilities. Most people have accepted this as every ending in Tsukihime being canon in its own universe, so the same probably applies to Melty Blood. But there are certainly some endings that are "more" canon than others, Shiki Tohno and Akiha come to mind, since their after battle talks usually imply the opponent lives.

White Len was created from the remains of Tatari, and is a copy of the original Len, although opposite is almost every way, similar to what a mirror does, if you raise your right hand, the mirror image raises its left. That metaphor is further used in Len's Act Cadenza ending when White Len is literally on the other side of the mirror when talking with Len.

I'm just going to put this here as it seems people still don't know A. The original work, the Tsukihime *visual novel*. Or B. How to read a wiki. Tohno Shiki, the protagonist was part of the Nanaya family, when the Nanaya clan was slaughtered, he was adopted by Makihisa Tohno. The Nanaya Shiki seen here is a separate entity, a fake, created by Tatari (or Len in Kagetsu Tohya) he represents the fear Shiki has of becoming a merciless killer. He also does not have Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, which I assume is because he hasn't faced death, nor is he the real Shiki. Hope this clears that up. I know these comments were made years ago, but they are still somewhat painful to read.

Aoko says that she will slam Nanaya to hell, but there's one thing that didn't occur to her. She's not Chuck Norris. Not even Satsujinki can kill Chuck Norris because he cannot die. It's that simple. His death is something that is not able to be percieved by ANYONE.

It's been a while since I've played Melty Blood, so some things may be inaccurate. In this, White Len(Or Ren, however you prefer it)created Shiki Nanaya. She was created from a piece of the defeated Dead Apostle TATARI by Aoko Aozaki, so her abilities are like TATARI's in that she can create things that otherwise shouldn't exist. Unlike TATARI though, she can create without having to spread rumors of a murderous being.

"Satsujinki" is the name that the Dead Apostles gave Shiki when he decided to guard Arcueid until she woke up, but I'm not certain if it's actually canon.

Actually the story about that is real canon and they are part of Tsukihime material story the Talk and Prelude who suppose to be are prolog Tsukihime 2

Nanaya is bloodline persona, some think Nanaya is true name to Shiki Tohno, Nanaya have killed by Real Tohno Shiki(Dude silver/White hair, lastest time called Roa) in 8 years, by accident is called Tohno Shiki, it´s not true name, true self is named nanaya. e.e

I havent played Kagetsu Tohya so I really dont understand why Nanaya Shiki dont have death perception in that one, but it seemed pretty clear that he has it in tsukihime. Maybe they're diffenent entities. I've always thought that Nanaya Shiki is simply a personality of Shiki that is driven by the impulses of his Nanaya blood: to kill demons using superhuman abilities.

Aoko tries her best to be such an asshole. Knowing the man won't last long, she still wants to deal the finish blow. Too bad she's a main Type-Moon heroine

Assuming for a minute the Melty Blood storyline of White Len giving physical form to Nanaya and becoming his familiar is not canon(Which, it probably is not), Nanaya and Tohno are one in the same. Nanaya is just simply his repressed urges to kill supernatural creatures that threaten humanity, so you're right. Nanaya doesn't have Death Perception in KT because the entire story is an ongoing dream fabricated by Len. If I recall correctly, Tohno doesn't have it either.

So, this "Nanaya Shiki" killed his own sempai, Aoko? Wouldn't his "Tohno Shiki" personalaty keep him from killing her? Because I can't imagine him living with the idea that his own hands killed her, abiet not by his own will

I forget. I just remember hearing it from somewhere. I think that I heard that stuff from a few comments on a video. You should try to look up Satsujinki on Wikipedia.
