I don't know if it was coincidence or not,but i like how they played mirko theme when shigaraki realises he is incomplete. Rabbit hero's guts are one of the big reasons heroes are still in the game,even a completion of few more percents could have been fatal.

Thank you! I was hyped and i read the manga till the latest chapter.. I respect that others want a better animation, but for me i enjoyed it because i felt the intensity, gravity of the situation. @@jamesholcombe675 The animation is fine I agree. It gets the impact of the story across to the viewer. The placement of the flashbacks is on point. It becomes an issue when you set high expectations that you can’t keep up with, though. (All Might v Nomu, Deku v Muscular, All Might v AFO, Iida v Class B, etc) The result being people spoiled with more visually appealing animation in previous seasons complaining. It is ignorant to expect high-quality animation in every single big fight. They have a budget. Completely agree. Still doesn’t make sense to go all out on previous lower-stake fights to then animate one of the biggest turning points like “any other episode.” This is honestly more of a director related issue than animation. Bad decisions were made choosing what seasons to spend the most on. On another note, I’m sure they want the last season to be great. And 99% of everyone crying is going to watch the next episode anyways. So I guess it doesn’t matter.

It’s pretty bad if you read it in the manga. In the manga it was fast paced and really felt like deku was tearing himself apart trying to beat shiggy. Here it cuts repeatedly to other characters or flashbacks and it slows Down the pace of the fight to where it just feels like deku and shiggy punch each other then wait 30 seconds and go at it again. There’s no fluid Sakuga animation to show how fast their moving or fighting, it’s literally Baki style frames of freeze frames with repeating animation on the wind to make it look like their moving. Plus it makes shiggy incompetent by literally just getting ragdolled. Shiggy literally sat in the air at the beginning of the episode for several minutes while deku monologued while in the manga they literally just went at it immediately. I was screaming at that point already because all shiggy has to do is use one of all for ones long range quirks like radio waves or the wind blast and he wins. He looks stupid because of the directing. Lastly in the manga the atmosphere was filled with smoke and debris while here it’s completely sunny so the tone just doesn’t feel right. They did the same thing with the redestro fight and it went from desperation and an actual war to two dudes fighting in the sun.

Loved how this scene was animated. While I love the style and detail other studios are putting forth in Bleach and Chainsaw Man, the animators here are still doing so much justice to this scene. Combined with the amazing voice acting and score, this is easily on par with season 1 and 2 for me. I know many people may disagree and that’s okay! It’s just my opinion I’m sharing. Much love to you all - this was a great Fall and Winter anime season.

@@rocketeer101 For Izuku's smash barrage, the main reason it felt weak was because of specific choice in animation. Black whip is acting as a sort of bungee cord between Izuku and Shigaraki, extending and shortening as Izuku pulls Shigaraki in and blasts him away. This means it should straighten out fully to show the force of two people pulling at opposite ends before loosening as Izuku pulls himself closer and then back to straightening out. Instead it's shown to loosely connect the two with little to no instances of it becoming pulled straight even when the two are at a distance from each other. Couple that with the poor choice of character animation with unnatural movements, stiff poses and off model characters, it just looks completely underwhelming.

I’m seeing a lot of opinions on the animation and I believe that it’s GOOD. It’s not perfect by any means and it’s fine that you think its disappointing but saying its bad is just a trash opinion. Saying the episode was exciting doesn’t change the fact the animation was filled with still frames. This is the most thrilling arc in mha manga all the animation had to do was do it justice and they fell short here

He has no motives or real goal other than to destroy everything. Thanos didn't even have that motive and he had the power of the universe in his hands. Shigaraki is a poorly written character and If he destroyed the world, what next. just hide in a little corner somewhere. Shigi's powers are truly unknown other than his main quirk. He is not broken, he is just a bad character.

His arms will be just fine after the war arc , BECAUSE he's not taking the same damage like he used to before , he can control about 45% of the power on his own , and now when he uses 100% it doesn't put too much pressure on the body and the damage can be healed. Don't be an ignorant fu*k 👍

although the animation was a bit lackluster these animators put thier hearts into these, I’m glad we were still able to get those awesome panels that we loved from the manga, and I will say that the voice acting was everything I could hope for

Literally I don't care what the haters say I'm enjoying this more than I did the manga it was amazing there but this is beyond phenomenal,fight, animation,music and emotional build up they have been literally killing this season way beyond Plus Ultra witht he voice acting Jesus they literally had me in goosebumps MHA season 6 is the best tv season of any show I have watched in like years and they are adapting this arc perfectly Bones really deserves credit keeping a consistent animation with the story being adapted with to me more blood not as much as the manga but for tv standards kinda dang this episode just went beyond words today:)

My Hero is my favourite manga currently running, and I'm normally a fan of the animation Bones puts out (even Season 5,its really not that bad) but this was the one fight they had to absolutely get right and we got a bunch of still frames. I'm really disappointed

Yea, I was a little dissapointed where they showed some still frames but for what it is, they did a really good job and poured their hearts into the fight, especially the voice actors. We still have deku vs lady nagant, deku v muscular 2, deku vs class 1-a, and deku v shigiraki 2 so bones have a lot of time to redeem themselves. For the next season, bones should take a few years to do season 7 instead of 2 to get back to that quality animation from s1 - s4

@@christiangrant3552I don’t think they poured they’re hearts into this fight, fights where they did give it they’re best we’re Deku vs todoroki by yukata nakamura who should have been the one too animate this scene, Deku vs muscular, Deku vs overhaul, those were fights that they poured they’re all into, here there were a few really nice animated scenes but most of it were just still frames, and I’m really disappointed with how bakugos sacrifice looked, I’m not saying this episode was bad far from it it still got me hyped but it just could have been a lot more, let’s hope the rest of the Deku vs shigaraki fight and the rest of the fights can still be top tier

I gotta be honest. There's a lot of copium in these comments combined with an undercurrent of "if you were REAL fans you'd just accept whatever they give you without complaint." Fuck. That. Have some standards. If you liked the episode, fine that's one thing but don't act like this holds up to other fights in this series in terms of animation, pacing and overall direction. This was the turning point for the entire series. This moment. This fight between the main PROTAGONIST & ANTAGONIST! There is not a more important fight in this entire series that deserved their absolute best effort except maybe the one currently happening right now in the manga and THIS is how bones treated it while happily wasting the budget and time on mirko and a fucking nomu? Bare minimum, this fight should've been on par with the overhaul fight and ideally it should've surpassed it but...no. Mob psychos final season is more important to work on I guess. The only thing positive about this episode imo is Daiki's voice acting as deku. He killed that! Props to him for carrying this lackluster episode on his back.

It's not bad, and I respect the animation. But the Manga Scene was just so absolutely perfect, that I thought they'd put a large budget into this scene. At the minimum, I expected One Punch Man or Demon Slayer tier animation.

Exactly. The animation only feels underwhelming because of previous fights animated by Bones with the help from one of the best animators. If they weren’t planning on keeping that up though, they should’ve just saved their effort and budget for these much more important fights. No point in hyping this anime up with a few random superb scenes (Iida vs Class B) just to end up animating the more important scenes like any other anime with a small fanbase and a low budget

Forget deku vs overhaul, Mirko vs nomus was way better than this

looking back at this the full power smash attacks could’ve definitely had more impact, minus the texas smash other than that it looks aight

Deku became so good at blackwhip that he was able to reinforce his freaking skeleton to the point that 100% smashes did no lasting damage.

The animation isn’t terrible, but it should have been MHA or even Studio Bone’s animation at it’s ABSOLUTE BEST. I was at least expecting some maximum effort to the most hype fight scene in the series (Heroes Rising level of quality). But instead, it’s just ok, which hurts to say as a manga reader. Also, they should have used "You Say Run"! IT WAS THE PERFECT OPPORTUNITY!

I dont get how people are hating this the animation is decent and everything is good

I think people like shigaraki is weak, he's strong because the quirk modification he got, i know his decay is already strong but without that bunch of quirk he won't survive to fight many heroes with just his decay and eraser head was there too

Even tho the animation was a bit lackluster the voice acting really did this fight justice.

The fight was an ok. Nothing great, but nothing bad. Just an ok

People that say the animation looks bad are just wrong (sorry not sorry). If you have any complaints, it should be that some of the cuts did drag out, but it was still animated fantastically

People complained about season 5 so much but wanna praise this one really need to get their eyes checked. Hell, the class 1A vs 1B was animated better than this arc so far. What happened at bones? Why does mob psycho look movie worthy while my hero gets thrown into the mud.

The animation is ok but not enough to bring alot of emotion on the character, in the manga version you could feel the anger and dread shigaraki and deku release from this fight but in the anime it just blant i cannot even bring myself to feel excited to see the fight the only thing i can say from this fight scene is just "oh okay that's cool i guess" i guess they saving cost for future episode or something or they could just cutting the budget a bit for other anime but idk the fight doesn't really bring anything out of me
