If foam gunk builds up in the little hole, you can also just put a few drops of acetone in there to clean it out.

Gerard, I'd be first in line if you designed a better hotwire table compatible with all your tools. Maybe a kickstarter?

I love the jigs you make for this cutter the guider Pro has long replaced the factory fence. I would suggest to find a way to put the guide on and have a way to lock it down I use a paper towel to make the fit tighter so the precure does not move the guide back

Thanks for the vids Gerard, its whether you know tips like these ones that can make or break your enjoyment of this hobby especially if you are time poor and are unable to experiment to find out what may be wrong with the machine or the technique you use. Thanks for sharing and I'm really looking forward to the next vids, Merry Christmas!

On my Proxxon thermocut there is a sticker on the dial whit numbers painted in white, so it is easy to set the temp, probably they added it on newer batches.

Do you think you could make a video explaining how to use Tool No. 5? I nearly bought it today but was cautious bc I’m not sure what all it can do.

Hi Gerard. Do you recommand wearing a mask to prevent breathing the fumes when using the Proxxon? Thanks for your help.

When working indoors I suggest at least to make sure a window is open / working close to a window that is a bit open. That should be enough.

We really need an open source alternative to this tool. It's ridiculously overpriced and proxxon don't improve the design over the years. The community need to create its own alternative to the proxxon.
