This was super helpful, i'm building a kx250 kart right now on a birel frame, and I have spent right around 1200 so far.

This all makes sense, but what’s to stop the motor from running too lean if the petcock is too closed?

My carb is stock and has its float I run a single pump and no petcock or restriction what so ever. It all depends on where you mount your pump.

Very helpful video thanks for sharing. I've got a (not sure the year) but an old Will Kart that is setup with a 96 cr125. I'm new to shifter karts and I'm curious about you saying the 99 cr125 motor is sought after.. what is it about the 99 motor?

I like your kart bro I'm into mine about as much as you spent. Is it a baril chassis? Like mine it looks similar. My motor is also a 99 CR 125 and it hauls ass and I really think my fuel system will help you out though I noticed there wasn't much on the subject on KZread as well .there is no pressure in this system and works exactly like if it were still on a bike.

What kind of hose did you use to to connect the exhaust

I'm not sure what your asking.. for the exhaust I used a exhaust pipe. I used a vacuum line to run the fuel pump from the head. I hope that helps
